For your first game jam congrats on completing it!  (and in only 10 hours nonetheless)  Believe it or not the vast majority of people who enter game jams don't finish, let alone have something playable.  So congrats on that and hopefully you learned a few things.

For some constructive feedback, the music was a bit too crazy for me, and some of the mechanics felt a bit off (I don't think it's possible to collect the heart in the middle of the level), but considering you did all this in only 10 hours I'm sure you'd have been able to iron out all those wrinkles if given more time.

Developer

Yeah, I added the sounds and effects quickly at the end, I took bad decisions with that choices. The heart animation is one of them, it is supposed to show that you just earned one life haha

Thank you for your feedback!

I found it really difficult and disorienting at first. I kept forgetting it wasn't like mario and other games like that - I was expecting the "Bad guys" to go through to the other side of the screen, but they turned around. So usually I would get hit twice! 🙃  Then I would  forget about the wall in the middle. You could maybe darken that up some to make it stand out more. And I also forgot they could go across the whole screen since the red and blue guy couldn't. But.... then after playing it a bunch, it became easier. I became more familiar with it and began remembering how it works. It was a lot of fun. I kept playing over and over to see how well I could do. It is so hard!!! lol My highest score was a 21. And then I kept getting worse and worse lol so I gave up. One other thing I would note is the music is a little too... frantic. I had to turn my speakers off after a while to keep playing. I usually don't like games that don't have a way to "win" but I must say I enjoyed this one just trying to see how high I could score.

Good job! First game jam ever AND 10 hours only?!?! that's awesome! pat yourself on the back!!!

This was really great, though I kept on dying again and again, trying to control the red and blue at the same time, but really enjoyed it once my mind got a hang of it. Also, liked the art of characters and enemies. Would love to play more of it when you expand this!

I was flexing my brain trying to control these guys at the same time! It felt satisfying once I started to get the hang of it. This is definitely a hardcore-style game, which I like.

I got confused a lot about which color enemies hurt which player. I think it should be flipped, where red hurt blue, and blue hurts red. That just made more sense in my brain while I was playing.

An interesting idea, I'd be interested to see more levels, and I'd probably play better if the colors were flipped XD.

High score 18!

Developer

Yeah, that may work, I could probably add a collectable to flip the colors haha.

I wanted to make some changes after hours of testing yesterday but I was short of time.

Thank you for your feedback!

A nice game overall. It was a little bit challenging to track both sides of the screen and took some time to get used to but over all decent. I can see this being expanded upon if you chose to. Nice job!

Developer

My friends told me the same about expanding the game, so I might follow that path. Thank you for your feedback!

Great use of the theme! Loved the mechanics & the stressful atmosphere! Fun little game

Developer

Great! I wanted to cause that feeling to player, I didn't have time to make it with the art side so I spent more time playing with the sounds. Thanks for your comment!

Thank you! Yeah, it was hard for me too when I tested it, but after hours I became really good at it (it's still hard though)

I was so bad at this game but it kept me on the edge of my seat!  Really good interpretation of the theme :)

Developer

Thank you! I like working on games that get people nervous haha
