My Mac won't let me play, because BigSur is BigStupid.  The artwork looks awesome though Pepe!

The art, music and theme were very good on this game. The mechanics were difficult though. I hit the enemy multiple times cause he looked threatening; then realized I needed to talk to him. After talking he just died. Also there were a few typos. The story definitely pulls at your heart strings. Very touching.

I really liked this little experience :) great work. There is a funny bug too if you chop the ?bad guy? a load of times before you talk to him, he then just hurts himself once you do talk to him :)

Developer

Thank youu!! ;D Yeah I noticed that after i published the game xDD

good job Pepe! admittedly it took a little too long to figure out how to use the sword but to make this in 2 days is impressive!

Developer

Thank youu, means a loooot! Yeah for some reason the sword didnt disappear from the back when attacking, but without the sword you cant break the boxes ;D

Pepe!  You are quite the talented guy.  The art, effects, transitions, effects, music, theme, colors... everything was extremely well polished and well done.  It looks a *little* bit too much like Thomas Brush style but that aside I have to say you made something really impressive, heartfelt, cohesive, and enjoyable in only 2 days.  I have a feeling this one will win but that's just my guess :)

Sorry for late response, I've been working on my Sorrowself project and i forgot xD Thank you means a lot ;D Winning is always great, but building up the experience and getting closer with ftgd community is more rewarding! ;)) this was my first gamejam "ever" and it waaaas fuuun and stressful xDD Will do it again, and I hope next time my game wont be so buggy ;P

Art, sound, music, and story were unbelievable for a jam. Seriously. This is probably the most visually impressive Jam game I've ever seen!

The story really captured the theme. Though I didn't really see the theme come through in the mechanics or gameplay.

You are a gifted artist and storyteller. Amazing job!

Developer

Thank you means a lot ;D I was in a hurry, so mechanics were buggy and etc, well you know... 48 hours ;D

Love your menu screen and your intro. Love the soft music in the intro. LOVE the ambient sound, the soft rain.

Amazing art! Love it!!!!! And can see Thomas's influence ;) Super awesome golden clouds moving about on the screen. And the raining is so cool! I like the lighting too. Love the breakables (Thomas's influence again lol same inspiration I used for my apple crate in my game.) Nice particles.

I love the scene changing!!! Love that the screen changes and you're all the way to the side.

I somehow broke it really bad... After dying, I wanted to restart the game but no buttons I clicked would work. I pressed escape and then I could see my cursor and I could click new game. Then my cursor was on the screen in game and the left click didn't attack. Then when I walked into the office and interacted... no buttons would work!!! I had to press escape again. very weird. Then when I got to the bad guy I couldn't click e to start the dialog. or  maybe it didn't load... it won't let me press any other buttons after i clicked e... Also the e flipped around backward when the bad guy was bent over at the end. Jus thought you might want to know these things. Also I hit the left mouse button on accident in the office and the "e" disappeared, I had to move away from the door and then move back for it to show up again. I love the dialog system, the look and workings. Amazing! I wanted to go back and see what the different choices would say... and so as much as I love your intro it would be nice if there was a way to skip :)

OMG not gonna lie... i got a tear in my end at your ending!!!! I was already thinking, "revenge..." hmm ok - not exactly what the golden rule is saying but kind of the converse I suppose. But I already thought you were fitting the theme. Then the ending. POW! great job! Great story line. Really, really nice! Just wish it was longer, but, obviously.... 48 hours and all ;p

Really great job!

Developer

Wooooah thank youuu!!! xD

Hmmm not sure why it didn't work, did you have mac or windows? Because i'm not sure if the mac build works xdd. Good that you liked the ending, bcs i was in a hurry and chose the first idea that got into my mind.

I'm on windows :) I played through it a few more times, it worked fine most of the time. Just those two weird instances.

Your sense of color selection always amazes me. It's a gift. Good job over all. No one would think you made this in a weekend

the art is really good, and it fits the theme really well. but the controls are a bit unintuitive with having to move my hand back and forth from the mouse to the keyboard.

Developer

Thank you! Good point ;D
