  • Use of Theme - 1
    • The theme was not apparent at all.
  • Gameplay - 3
    • The game is fun. Huuge potential as a puzzle game - but some bugs/issues at the moment that stopped me scoring it a 4/5.
    • I reckon there should be at least 3 platforms and some different obstacles to really make it shine. Once you figure out the base platform + trampoline combination to jump up you have solved the game only puzzle mechanic.
    • [Potential Bug] I found out early that if you jump up into a trampoline (from a trampoline below, or just by jumping while you place it) you get a  SUPER JUMP - this solves most puzzles and makes the game trivial.
    • [Potential Bug] Very difficult/impossible to place platform below you as you fall - not sure if this is intended but seems like something you should be able to do to solve the last puzzle.
  • Creativity - 4
    • The core concept is unique
  • Art - 5
    • Loved the art. It all meshed well and nothing that looked out of place
  • Sound - 4
    • BGM and effects matched the upbeat style well. Nothing sounded out of place or missing.

Thank you so much for playing my game. And yes, it's really out of theme 🤣🤣🤣 My first idea for this game is actually an engineer who is going to fix the stairs of an old house. I was planning on creating some cut scenes to introduce a new items on each round, but for some reasons it didn't work, so I implement it since I started this jam kinda late (1 week before deadlines) and somehow it turn into the game you've played now 🥲

Anyway, thank you for pointing out the bugs that happened in the game as well, and I'm now working on it to fix it. But for the last puzzle, if you say so, that's interesting that you can solve it by place platform below you, because it's actually what I was intended to do, which is actually impossible to get out that way. The way to solve it is actually place the platform on top of you, and place the trampoline on top of the platform and jump from below it. Eventually, the momentum will get you out easily. You can try again and you can see what I meant 😉.

  • Use of Theme - 1
    • Other than the title of the game i don't see how this game incorporates the theme of the Jam.
  • Gameplay - 3
    • The game is engaging and fun. I did however find some problems that ruined my experience a bit. The trampoline doesn't work if you jump on it, only if you walk into it. So if you spawn the trampoline on top of you you have to walk out and in again in order for it to work. Also even when it finally works the height you jump is not always constant. Another thing i noticed is that if you jump into certain walls you can stand on the side of them, must be a rogue collider.
  • Creativity - 4
    • The idea of having the player place the platforms is very creative, and kudos for having more than one type of platform. The level design is also good.
  • Art - 5
    • The art was very good and it fits the concept very well.
  • Sound - 4
    • The sfx and bgm were also very well chosen and mixed.

Thank you for playing my game. For the theme, yes, it didn't fit the theme for the final game 😓 My first idea is to make an engineer design for the collapse/old building. I was trying to make a cutscene to introduce for it, and make an engineer place the platform in just a certain part of the building. But somehow I couldn't make the cutscence work and also the mechanic of the game, so I was changing it to place the platform in a certain range to the player, and to make it fit the mechanic, I was changing a game design, and apparently it become what you see now.

I really enjoyed to play your game. I think it is a great idea to let the player place the plattforms and trampolines and it is very well implemented ( changing cursor icon makes it totally clear).

The only thing i discovered that i don't quite understand: sometimes when you jump on the trampoline with one jump, the character only bounces a little bit and then sometimes he still jumps to full height. However, if you just run on it, it always jumps to full height. But this is just a really small thing which maybe is intended and I don't get it right :-)

Thank you so much for playing the game. I just tested the trampoline again and I think it's a bug haha 😓🤣. Thank you for pointing it out, and interesting enough that somehow for all the play test I've never got to this problem before, so really thank you for your feedback, it's really help me!!

Again, glad you enjoying it!!

You are welcome! There are always things you don't find, and the first player to play the game find the bug. 😁 It's the same with our game.

Cool idea! Loved the bouncing physics and the verticality of the level design really helps to emphasize that. Good music as well!
