Theme interpretation
The setting is following the scene from It's a Wonderful Life where George Bailey says he'll lasso the moon, except this time he actually does it. It's quite an impressive shot to actually lasso the moon, but instead of celebrating his achievement you'll be trying to avoid the world-ending scenario of the lunar body plummeting to the Earth's surface!

Absolute master piece :D
But its very hard to beat.
This game was haaaard, but I did beat it so... well done myself !
The gameplay is quite cool and I'm a fan of absurd genre of the game :D
Hey this was very well done! I liked the intro and then you had great simple gameplay! I tried aa couple times but couldn't beat it haha find my gameplay video below
40:04 Lunar Apocalypse
I really liked the graphics, retro shader and sounds, but the gameplay was a bit strange... I didn't manage to climb all the way up the stairs and I couldn't jump off the edges, then the big moon would attract some piece and I would lose.
Simple fun visuals, with a nice looking retro effect over it. Works well for the style of game. The soundtrack sits really well too.
I think being able to jump off the edges would have made a big difference. I also had a couple of camera stutter issues when disembarking from the top of the ladders.
Overall good work! :)
This is the most delightfully insane thing I’ve seen in this jam (and that’s saying something). I haven’t been able to win it yet, but I’ll keep trying.
I wanted it to play more like a platformer, being able to jump off edges or something, but I suppose it makes sense that that’s not what this robot is designed for. Reaching the top and bottom of the ladders feels a little glitchy, though, so being generous with how early you can hop off the ladder would be helpful.
Liked the mechanics, simple but nice. The graphics are basic, but with the postprocessing it looks very nice. Music is great, fits very well. I almost did it but in the endgame everything turns red like crazy, haha. Good entry.
Great work with the use of post processing. Sound tracks and sounds are great! Well done.
Very funny story/intro and a nice idea. I didn’t manage to get below 30s although I tried a few times. It’s hard to find the right times for charging.
Good job, thanks for the submission :)
I love how you took such simple art assets but made the game look so good with the context surrounding it. Sometimes I wonder if my limited 2d art skills are going to stop me from making games but seeing games like this is really inspiring!
I wasn't able to get very fun but I enjoyed running around chaotically while I lasted haha. Some more movement tech would have been nice to increase the skill ceiling - jumps, dashes that sort of thing. Then the player could get used to the mechanics and get better over time giving them a sense of accomplishment and also add replay value ("Let me try again, I can do better this time now that I'm better at the movement")
Good job with the audio as well. And of course, hilarious intro :) Fun game overall!
The intro was incredible, and the game was really fun, too. I got to 1:15. So close! I'll definitely be back to try to finish this one.
It was quite fun, loved the art-style, really simple, but stylish
Love the intro -- extra points for the bizarre theme interpretation + deep sim.
Haha I had a great time playing this! =)
That intro was wild, I like the writing!
Sweet ! Nice twist to the 'I'll give you the moon' Mary !
