Really cool concept and visuals! The environment is really trippy, it suits the game. A possibility to skip the start monologue would be nice!
Thank your for the patience to wait that long :)))
I like this art style, but I think not enough information as in-game art.
Sometimes, I lost which way I move to. And after special gimmick, it make motion sickness.
But, I like this idea and atmosphere.
Thank you for your comment!
And yeah, maybe adding different textures for the floor and platforms wouldn't be a bad idea.
This game may have damaged my vision beyond repair, but I had a great time playing it nonetheless. Every section felt satisfying to get through, and then that last puzzle where you glitch using the pause menu was icing on the cake. Good flippin job. I can see the portal inspiration and as that is one of my all time favorite games I pretty much like this one by default. I think the sensitivity should default to a much lower value.
I am sorry for you eyes :))
I'm glad you liked it, and played it until the end.
And thank you a lot for the feedback!
First up… Please don’t make Ctrl & W controls that players might press together in a browser game; on Windows that closes the browser tab and then there’s a 65 second scene setting audio clip to go through when restarting.
I didn’t play it for long because the aforementioned Ctrl+W issue took a lot of my patience away, and the visual effects aren’t great for someone who had a migraine a few days ago (as is the case for me atm), but that said you’ve got the start of a wonderful Portal style game here and this is good work.
Thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate it!
I am extremely sorry for the annoying controls, for the non skippable introduction, and for the painful visuals. I will try to think of better controls, especially for the browser builds.
There is a windows build on the bottom of the game page, so the controls problem is solved.
Really awesome atmosphere and effects! I really liked how the camera moved with the character and the field of view changed when sprinting. The movement felt really fluid, good job!
This gave me some weird Portal yet Quake feelings. I pretty much like the idea. But controls are a bit whacky for some kind of jumping game :)
Thank you very much for your feedback!
The game was not intended to be a jump game, but I didn't have enough time to think and make more levels, so there were left only the parkour levels and some easy puzzles. As for the controls, yeah, I know they are not that great, but I got used to it and it felt normal for me :)))) this is what happens when you are both the developer and the tester :)))
It's a fun and enjoyable platformer. To be honest, I don't really pay attention to the narrative, I just blaze through. The controls is easy to get used to. The visual on environment sometime cause headache for me after a long period. Overall pretty solid entry.
Thank you very much for your comment!
I got a suggestion from a friend to add subtitles, and that would probably make the narrator a bit easier to understand and pay attention to it. But that was 3 days before the deadline while already having enough problems to solve :)) so yeah, no time for that.
I'm sorry for the headache, probably it would have been a great idea to add a setting for post processing.
This is really cool and intense if a bit hard to control. The voice makes it super interesting and mysterious. Visuals are unique and fit the theme, but I'd suggest slowing down the mouse movement and maybe adding an epilepsy warning :) it's kind of taxing on the eyes. Really good level layout also
Thank you for your feedback, I am happy to hear you liked it!
The mouse movement can be changed in the settings...I hope :))
And, after some feedback, I got the idea that the visuals are a bit of a headache. I'm sorry for that. While developing it seem fine, but maybe it's just me that I spent to much time in it and I got used to it.
I think the visuals work well for the idea of the game, but yeah, a bit too much. I actually want to go back to the game a bit later and try to beat it :)
I'm not sure if its my potato laptop, but the player was difficult to control (if that was how it was meant to be then whoops). The audio is great and the visuals are too but they were a bit hard to look at sometimes because of the shaders you have going on. Still an overall great game though
First of all, thank you for the feedback!
Second, well, the player control should be normal, and it should run fine even on a low spec pc, If you haven't tried, I would suggest to download the windows build. The WebGL build, was a last minute idea, so, probably it's not working as intended.
So I replayed your game on the windows build and yeah, it worked far better than the webGL build. I initially tried making a WebGL build for my own game too but the game was way too buggy for that so I definitely get the struggle of getting that to work. Got much farther into the game on your Windows build and the game was pretty fun, even though I am kinda bad at platforming XD
I fell better now that I know you had some fun in it XD but I still fell sorry for making it a little too hard.
The game would have been so cool if it wasn't exported as html5. The key combination Ctrl+W closes the current chrome tab, making crouching in the game... unpleasant.
However, I like the visual and audio effects.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience of playing it in browser, there is also an archive with the windows build, probably it is not that easy to notice. I didn't intend to build it for browser, but the last jam my game didn't get enough ratings because people didn't bothered with downloading it, so this time I decided to make it available for both platforms.
I'm thankful of you feedback and I hope you had some fun playing it!
The chromatic aberration effect can be a bit tough on the eyes, but love the theme and the game feel, also great voice acting!
Thank you for the feedback, I will consider making more pleasant visuals for future games.
I'm glad you liked it.
