Neat game, the power ups make it fun

I enjoyed my time on the game but do agree that the rate of fire could be increased as I often found myself easily killed and unable to fire off at a fast enough rate! Enjoyed my playthrough and would defo return to play again if I were able to keep up with the enemies!

Another proof that vaccine works :D

Some tips:

- Shooting could be faster

- Fake animations if you dont have any (e.g. distortion of scale)

I think the shooting could be a bit faster, and maybe more interpolation between moving left and right. Animations can go a long way with games like this as well. Things would feel a bit more juicy with explosions and whatnot.

Thanks for reviewing and playing our game !

You're right, on all points, we'll improve that !

Nice job! Really good graphics and sound.

To 7axel7’s suggestions I’d add two things:

  1. Make the sounds for the players shots different than the baddie’s shots.

  2. Player movement should follow an acceleration curve. Meaning it starts at 0 velocity and ramps up to max while the player holds the arrow key. This can and should happen pretty fast so it’s a subtle effect but it makes a big difference in how the game feels.

Thanks you !

The second suggestion is a very great idea ! We hadn't thought of it, we have take it and will test it.

For the sound of the baddie's shots, you're absolutely right, it was on our backlog, but not prioritezed until the deadline.

Hey really nice and fun idea! I liked the graphics and the music.

Few recommendatios would be to shoot faster and make them more difficult to die, and maybe do the player a bit smaller so you can use more the space and dodge.

You're right, thank you so much for playing and reviewing our game.

We'll keep your recommendations to improve this game :).

Nice Job! I like the art and music, and the pulsing light was really neat.

I really like the genre of bullet hell games (Most games I make end up being one ;p) and I have tons of suggestions about how they should be done, but to keep things brief here are a few pointers:

- The players hitbox should be really small so you can weave between bullets (and bullets are spread out to stop you from not even going near them)

- The player should be pretty slow so you don't accidentally run into bullets

- Shooting/Fighting back is often an intrusive mechanic, if there is a need for aim it can conflict with the need to dodge, unless done really well (E.g. you need to risk standing in a dangerous part of the arena to do more damage, which makes the fight go by faster)

- The most fun thing to dodge as a player, is attack patterns. If a lot of bullets come from a single source with a pattern to them, human brains are good at seeing the pattern and how to dodge them, and makes a rewarding learning experience. This also makes the player face the attacks head-on, instead of just standing on the other side of the map where there are less bullets.

Sorry if I am rambling, I really like the direction your game is going and would love to see it perfected, good work!

Thanks for your tips (they are all coming into our backlog and be tested), they are very usefuls for us because this is our first game, we didn't know anything about game development 1 month ago.

We will improve this game, because we really enjoyed doing this and there are so many things to do that we are not happy with, or we didn't implement.

Thanks again for trying our game and reviewing it.

Really fun game, good controls and nice sound effects. I don't know if it's just my bad skills but I found it quite tough 😅
