Great game, the graphics was really well made and the concept was awesome
great idea! I love the retro aspects of the game!
Took me a few tries to start the game as it wasn't clear that i needed to set my character classes before starting. Another point is that i stepped a few time by mistake on the blue arrow and it made me restart the level, especially with the 2nd charater as I pressed the right arrow by default.
I will definitly give the game another try! good job
It's very original! When I start, I think it's a very common game you need to fix the bugs in a SO. I really don't wait for a strategy-turn-based RPG game XD.
Congrats! You had a fantastic piece of art here!
Great game! I'm amazed by the fact that it was made for the NES!
Good exploration of the theme, nice graphics, and sound!
Congrats
I think it takes some courage to interpret the 'bug' theme as the 'bug' in the computer science world. As an engineer myself, I think your game is not only fun but also romantic. Great work!
Amazing graphics. Feels very nostalgic.
Super interesting concept bringing a TTRPG to the NES style, would love to have seen some more of the 'dice' somehow (almost like a roller on the side panel) and did find controlls a little finnicky to get used to! Enjoyed my time playing and would defo say one big thing would be like an 'arrow' or icon above the active characters head would be amazing as I kept accidentally wasting movement into a wall thinking I was on a different character :)
Thanks for playing :) And I did want to add some indicator on the active character at first, but it caused some problems - the NES can't display more than 8 sprites on a row, so when there were some sprites on the same line as the indicator, sometimes it (or the other sprite) would become invisible.
Later I found a way to circumvent this issue (when there is too many stuff on a single row, they will flicker because of that), but by then I was already used to recognizing the characters by name and there were other issues to fix... so I didn't put it back 😅
Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out the keys to play the game, so I could move the mouse pointer, to config.sys, but it wouldn't do anything..
I think by default the emulator keys are these: Enter = Start, F = A button and D = B button
I'll add this to the post; I just noticed it's hard to see the emulator interface because the buttons are white, and the game is also white...
Thanks! I managed to set up my party and play a battle now :)
I love the game, I think it is very innovative and cool, though I think the music could be improved a little, however, I do still love it at the same time, overall, I enjoyed this game!
