That moment when you turn the corner and a bee is right there. Oh, the clench back pedal that moment is great.

Bzz. Loved the audio, both the music and the dialogue. Audio between levels made me laugh :D Like others pointed out, more mechanics would have made the game more fun. Later levels get pretty challenging, but knowing that I will hear more audio files motivated me :D
Agent, great work! Bzz.
The voice over made me laugh, and I also really like the main song. It didn't feel like there was any scaling in difficulty (maybe I didn't play long enough), and I think the game would benefit from this or some other mechanic of sorts that made you feel accomplished about progressing (power ups or whatever).
The voice acting was a nice touch - I wish there were some sort of subtitles as well, for accessibility.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting that voice acting when I first opened the game, it was quite simply amazing XD. I do have one complaint though. The player detection of the wasps sometimes pushes the player around which it probably shouldn't be doing in the first place, and it actually pushed the player spider out of the map at one point in my playthrough and it made me unable to continue properly. Another small complaint that you might want to work on. The rotation of the player sprite keeps on facing down whenever the player isn't moving when it should stay facing the direction it was last facing. I can suggest fixes for that problem but you can probably figure that out on your own. Other than that stuff, absolutely solid game you have going. Good job mate.
I'm willing to help so I checked your github repository and... I think you uploaded the wrong thing onto there. You're supposed the upload the game files you see in the editor, but not the build itself. I can't review the code you've written from your repository because the C# scripts don't show up in the build. Please fix so I can help out
I loved the game! The voice acting was a great addition! I would have liked it if the camera was a little more zoomed out though, it is hard to see where you are going.
I'm a huge fan of when people voice act their game jam games, so points to you on that one. Until level 4, it felt like there wasn't much of a challenge at all, so what I might do to combat that is get rid of the initial collision with the wasp circle, and maybe increase their speed a bit. That would require a bit more work when it comes to telegraphing how the wasps are going to move, because you have to ensure there are gaps where the player can cross. Regardless though, this was quite a fun game and I enjoyed playing it!
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the voice acting. We struggled in the design process about fine tuning difficulty and it's interesting you're asking for more difficulty as some have found it quite hard, we're still trying to figure out the best way to tailor it to as many people as we can (personally, I love challenging games, but they're definitely not right for everyone so it's finding the balance).
Pretty solid little game. Loved the voice acting lol. I think having the game zoomed out a bit more would help with navigating around.
The part of the screen that is visible to the player, is a bit too zoomed-in. That, combined with the player's speed, has put me one too many times into scenarios where the time between wasp aggro range, and me getting... stabbed? ... was way shorter than human reaction time. Tho, eventually I became a bit more cautious; the fast walking speed perhaps made me a bit too confident.
I'd suggest increasing the margin of error, by either lowering player's speed, or by tweaking the wasp A.I (like, by making it patrol>warned>chase system, instead of patrol>chase).
Level design, could also use some tweaking. The designs themselves are fine, but the visual side of it is a real bummer. If you'd add some props, and would cut levels into segments, that would differ in walls and/or floor textures... I think, that combined with the increased margin of error, would make the screen being too zoomed-in not that big of a problem!
That's a feedback for you. I must say that I appreciate the fact that this game has it's own music, huge props for that! The story was so absurd and nonsensical, that I love it!
Overall, this game is okay. Good job you two!
Thanks so much for the really in depth feedback. I agree that the Wasp's AI could be refined a bit more and varying the art in the level design could help. A few people have also commented on how zoomed in it is, so this is something we should definitely look at. I'm glad you still enjoyed the story and music though!
Such cool voice acting, I'm sure you must have had fun recording that,r really brings the game to life.
