Game description
The Secret Life of a Blacksmith is a 2d platformer that I solo developed and is my first "official" release. In the game you own a blacksmith shop and every week can delve into a cave in search of minerals to sell. The goal is to raise enough money to pay rent at the end of every month or risk closing the shop.

There are more features I would like to add but the 4 weeks snuck up on me and I had to cut corners to get the game loop in completed. Please enjoy what I have and any constructive criticism or comments would be appreciated!

Theme interpretation
The idea that influence my game was the "secret life of an npc".
The secret life of the blacksmith is his adventures in a cave that allows him to collect minerals that he can sell to keep his shop open.

I like the cave music and graphical atmosphere, but also the idea to have the secret life of an npc is interesting.
I couldn't go too far to explore as the enemies are very powerfull, perhaps it could be gould to balance the level a bit more.

I love art style, blacksmith animations are good. Dungeon is cool and I like the upgrade system. Maybe I consider rebalancing game, two HP for enemies is maybe too much.

A cool premise for a game, go into dungeons, get items smelt them to make gear. Rinse repeat. I like it on paper. Your art and animations are really nice especially the blacksmith swing. I feel like giving the enemies two health in the first cave was a little much as it means you basically die no matter what on the second enemy as there is no dodge mechanic. Maybe I was supposed to collect minimal ore the first couple weeks to get better gear? That's a pretty slow pace to start a game off on. Also the jumping is a little punishing, I'd recommend giving the player a little more hops to make it a little smoother and maybe up player speed? But I like where you are going and you have some good ideas.
