Great short game :-)

The movement felt a bit weird though. The camera is looking angled horizontally, so the world space movement felt weird to me.

But other than that I found the game quite enjoyable, and I really like that you can move under the camera :-)

Well done on the game :-)

Really cool game! The rewinding time feature was really cool! But I did find the sound effect for it very loud. The UI was great it looked amazing. I did find sometimes the frames would drop i don't really know why? Also I think the game could have used a better camera system.

Overall this game is really fun! I think that the rewind feature is cool. and the Start Menu is great!

Very kind of  you to say! Now that I think about it the rewind sound is rather loud, amazing that I never thought about that before (I'd often test the game with my headphones sat on the desk and that was the only thing I heard.

Thanks a lot!

Nice stealth game. I got a little bit stuck on the last level where a guard is standing in front of a door. I end up going pass next to him without him seeing me.  It is entertaining, I wish it has more levels. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! The guard on the last level actually stays there, but he doesn't start there. I was trying to force players to rewind, I'll make him take a bit longer to get there in the future so that its a little more obvious. I had intended on making more levels, but got pretty burnt out and barely touched it for the last week and a half (fixed a few bugs and that was about it).  Hopefully I'll get it loaded up soon and add a few more. Thanks again!

I was using the Mac build and found the game to be really buggy. When I rewind time with my mouse button, it doesn't play the sfx. When I click the main_menu or next level after winning, then for a moment it plays the rewind sfx. And sometimes, the camera glitches out when the guards are very close and walking towards you, and I got jump scared after seeing a guards hideous face(istg, that face is of a man who killed his wife and children).

The guards visibility could be better(they can't see me if i'm right in front of them across the hallway until they get really close). Maybe include periphery vision. The tutorial is pretty much an information word dump which is not the best approach to explain to the player how the game works(luckily your game is pretty simple and intuitive, but the tutorial could do some work).

Apart from these, I found the concept to be really cool. To be able to undo your mistakes when you get caught is amazing and try to finish the level by getting caught the least amount of times is a smart mechanic. The bg music was calming and chill. This is a good prototype for a puzzle game I would dig to play.

Thanks alot for giving it a go! I'm sorry about the mac build, I don't own a mac to give it a go, there were just a few people asking about them (I think you may well have been one of them) so I did the build and put it up. I wonder whether its similar to the webGL build, where certain features used just wouldn't work when built that way.

I have to admit, I was considering making the guards vision a bit better, but I didn't want to make the game too difficult. Its certainly something I can try in the future.

Thanks again!

Although I would prefer the guards to have a better visibility, the game is still cool and engaging! I think making the outline of camera's current view will help a lot, but apart from that, the melody is pretty nice, the rewind mechanic is satisfying, and the Is fun overall. Well done!

Developer(+1)

You could be right about increasing their visibility, It would be an easy change to make so I might give it a go and see how it feels at a later point. Strange that you had no outline of the cameras views, as I did put it on there, it was fairly faint though so I may need to make them slightly more visible.

Thanks for giving it a go!

Yeah, that's what I meant, maybe I'm just blind, but half of the times I was seeing the outline very clearly, but the other half it was kind of hardly visible. But as you mentioned, all these things can be changed really easily, so not a big problem!

Great game   , Good level design  , like the rewinds feature . the best result seemed to always show 9999 , fantastic game  well done.

Developer

Thats interesting, did it not update when you completed the level? I'll have to go and check that. Thanks for the help!

Really well done. I liked the visuals and the level design. I did feel like the SFX were a bit loud compared to the music.

Developer

Thanks a lot! That's a nice simple fix that I'll get at soon

I enjoyed the level design in this game. The controls were a bit rigid; holding down shift for speed would have been a nice to have. Cool rewind mechanic. The guards leg movement was a bit triggering on the first level. Well done! The guard in the door threw me off, and I waited for him to move, but managed to get around him. I liked that server room on third level.

Developer(+1)

Haha, yes the animation on the legs is a little off. I'm pretty new and wasn't quite sure how to fix it (apparently its not a complicated fix but I never got round to sorting it).
I appreciate the kind words :)

Great level design! Controls felt like I was fighting with my character a bit, but otherwise I enjoyed it.

Developer

Thankyou very much! I'll remember that for the future :)

Really well done time rewind feature and solid level design. In my playthrough there was a guard standing in a doorway leading to one of the objectives on the 3rd level. Not sure if that is by design or a bug but I was seen a couple times before I was able to hug the wall enough to get past him.

Developer

Thanks for giving it a go! That was actually by design, I was trying to force people to rewind to before he got there. Maybe I should have have that a bit clearer! I'll bare that in mind
