I love that it's in a clock! And as EsbenNyboe said, it was fun to use the moving clock platforms! I thought our gunshot sound was a bit annoying and an arcady music in the background could make it even more fun to play :)
Nice job!
Thanks for the feedback! I do need to spend more time on the sound I've found out, not my strength...
fun survival challenge! i like the different enemy types. Interesting mechanic with the moving clock platforms. It was a cool way to seek cover from enemy fire :)
Hello,
Do rate our games,
Check the video for my reviews.
I really liked the graphics, very nicely done. I also liked the clock a lot, setting the game inside the theme of the jam. I just though that the input response was a little slow. Maybe the gameplay would be better if the game was faster paced. But nicely done nonetheless :)
Really like the gameplay, happy to play this again.
Would like some sort of Best Time function.
Interesting take on the theme
I really liked the spritework!
nice arcade-style, i liked the kraken/alien sprites :)
I think the game is genius in its way, so different to other shooter games. Clock being the map made it fun so that you can climb up with the second hand and different enemies made it interesting as well :) Good job! also enemies "sucking" the time was a good addition!
Had a few attempts, I didn't do well at first ( still not doing well though ), but I got up to surviving for 80 seconds and killing 67 alliens :-)
Nicely done, great simple game :-)
Thanks, I haven't managed much better to be honest!
I think its pretty fun. I didn't understand at first that the enemies slowed down the time rather than the time slow down being random. All in all it was pretty good
At first, I didn't really understand what was going on, but once I realized that the time was slowing down, It made me so excited! I think you might consider adding some effects/sounds or other visual feedback to make it clear that the time is changing. But overall, I liked the art, especially the idea of using the clock watches as a game map
Yes I completely missed that, it needs some sort of visual queue for the slow down. For next time then, thanks for the feedback!
The game is simple shooter which slows down as you progress. It took me a few turns to understand what was going on because it wasn't explained. The timer at the top right is broken. It one point it shows 4 hours remaining, and later in the next game, it shows 9 hours remaining.
The timer is actually just a measure of the current time based on the clock's hands, which is randomized each time. The time speed is slowed down based on the enemies "sucking" time from the clock's center, I think I should have put a visual cue for this as I realise it's not obvious.
Simple but not bad idea...
Why the source code is limited to *.cs files only?
As the goal is to let people to learn from the projects, it would be nice to have full project which is possible to import and run in unity...
Good point I'll stick the full source up as well to download if you want.
