Ive never played a rhythm shooter before. It is pretty fun. It took me too long to figure out to shoot the legs off of the boss first and not just shoot his body.  I think there could be some more visual/audio feedback for when you land a shot but, other than that I thought it was great.

Incredible game! The mechanics were hard to grasp at the beginning but as I played more, I got the hang of it and it became really fun. Some health bars would be awesome, as others mentioned :)

Cheers!

Great! I loved the concept, the rhythm and the music! The idea is very original and have a great potential for a full game. I`m not the FPS guy, but this was really enjoyable! Added to collection! Congratulations fellas!

movement was smooth.  graphics was great. music also very good.

thing that would help.

  1. hp bars for enemys.
  2. no reload for gun.
  3. keep the beat the same, like crypt of the necrodancer.

Awesome and fun concept! My only gripe is that reloading really disrupted what could be a super cool flow to the action.

Thank you! Yeah the reloading animation speed depends on how well you reload in sync to a beat, but this mechanic isn't conveyed to the player at all. In retrospect, I wish we somehow made a "How-To-Play" where all this is explained.

Thank you for playing!

This was great - I really enjoyed the challenge. Health bars and/or some other form of hit feedback would be nice, but overall it felt good to beat the boss. Didn't expect to see any procedural animation in this jam, well done!

Developer

Yeah health bars on the enemies would have been a great idea! Thank you for playing and for the compliments! :D

Wow! Really cool game! I really like that I wasn't penalized for not being in rhythm, cause I suck at rhythm games lol. Only thing I can think of as an improvement would be a boss health bar. I felt like I was hitting him FOREVER and I had no idea what his health was at haha. Other than that, great work! Super polished too.

Developer

Thank you! Haha. Yeah, I agree that in retrospect  the boss has too much health. In the last phase of the boss fight, you have to shoot at the cores on the sides of its body but that is not visually obvious enough.

Thanks for playing!
