Really interesting puzzles!

Oh man, I loved  how you used the explosions to make some really interesting puzzles! And the overall atmosphere of the game was really charming! Well done!

Developer

Thanks man. We have similar gameplay concepts, :D . I am glad you enjoyed the puzzles.

Submitted(+1)

Yes we do. I've seen a few games like this on the jam. It's cool noticing how we all implement the same concept in different ways to the point that the games feel unique.

Congratulations! Really nice and complex game! Although, sometimes I had issues with getting stuck because of my shadow, but at least you can start over the level :) Floating platforms fall a little too fast and I did not manage to find a way to solve the level with the simultaneously moving cubes and the shortcut (really nice idea btw) in the middle.

Developer(+1)

I am glad that you enjoyed it. I probably should have made a shortcut button like R to restart level as sometimes you might get stuck in the puzzle parts or moving walls. Oh and I will add a timer next time for the floating platforms after player steps on it.
As for that level, you can solve it by having your clone step on the button and hit the clone to make it explode after a few seconds, during that time you will need to move fast to proceed through those moving cubes. Thanks for the feed back, I appreciate it.

Well done. The game had a great feel to it and lots of interesting mechanics!

works well, great SFX and great artwork.

Love this puzzle/platform game! The aesthetics and music work wonderfully together. You have put together a wonderful little gem in a short amount of time, well done!

Submitted(+1)

Awesome! Very smart puzzles! Loved the shortcuts and the timed explosions!

Please play and rate my game too, if you find the time :)

Developer

Will do. No worries.
And I am glad that you enjoyed the puzzles.

Very polished for a game jam game. Also very nice way of integrating the theme, something I totally did NOT manage to integrate in my game. I managed to beat the helicopter stage on my 2nd try but it was very frantic, I kinda loved that level.

Nice sound effect and that's an amazing dialogue system implemented

Developer

Thanks, I made the dialogue system but the sfx ,art and music are borrowed free assets.

Nice work, but you should be listing your used assets here as well, on the same box with who worked on the game and the source. Otherwise, anyone who didn't read the description wouldn't know that these are open source art and sounds. Anyway the dialogue was cute and the pieces you found are assembled together very nicely.

Developer

Thanks for the advice.

very nice game =D

Niceee! It's the second game that I see using the mechanic of leaving behind a corpse when dying that you can then use to progress in the game. It's very clever! (The other game that had it was called Inferno, it was in 3d though).

Very enjoyable. I think I was off to a good start and more or less understood what the goal was. Smooth sailing... And then there was a level with 10 helicopter platforms!? I mean.. :D

I was not able to complete that level. It felt like quite a severe increase in difficulty all of the sudden.

I laughed a lot because of the line "that's a smart way to destory those boxes" - I don't know if it was intentional, but it's a good pun!

Thanks for your creation, inspirational!

Developer

I probably should have toned down the difficulty there. But it felt easy, to me at least since I am familiar with platformer. Thanks for the feed back and I am glad that you enjoyed.

Very cute graphics. Great submission.

Very polished, nice mechanics, especially the corpse/shadow. Suits me well because I'm terrible at platform games (even though my game is also a platform game haha), I did have to give up on the level with the helicopter platforms. After leaving 20 corpses, finally getting to the last platform and hitting a wall, I gave up. Blowing up the 20 corpses was hilarious though. I liked the falling boxes too, its not something I expected in a pixel art platformer.
I did find the sound was a little loud, especially the "speech" sound effect but obviously I'd be surprised if anyone had time to add volume controls to their game!

Very nice polished game, love the play through tutorial.

nice work, really good game.

Developer

Thanks!!

Excellent game design. The puzzles were very intuitive. Love the theming as well. Only feedback I have is to allow respawning to occur faster. Waiting a couple seconds can prove cumbersome.

Developer

Yeah, that's a good point. Will make that change after the jam's rating period ends. Thanks!

Tight controls, interesting game mechanics and really nice level designs.

Great job!

Developer

Thank you.

A fun puzzle platformer.  Had some puzzles in there that surprised me when things came together!

Developer

Thanks! I am glad that you found the game fun.
