I really like this. At first I couldn't figure out why my magic missile was so ineffective, then I keyed into the color code and everything made sense. Really nice work, and great use of the theme.
Very good, I enjoyed that particularly for the framing you gave it :)
This was really fun! I think this game is well balanced (IMO): it's just dark enough, your light goes far enough, you have a good number of magic colors to switch through. Great job! I love the moments of tension like when an alligator is almost on you and you flip to the wrong color lol
Played and rated.
Once I understood we change staff color to attack different enemies, I started having lots of fun!
The art and audio are great, the gameplay is fast and fun I loved it! My only downside would be that I the connection to the theme isn't that strong.
Great work for this game jam! :)
Would appreciate if you check out and rate our game as well: https://hadilepanda.itch.io/rise-of-necromancy
fun, enjoyable. the staff color to match enemy color was quick and easy to understand. well done
That's cheating Anubis! XD
Really fun game!
I liked the music and the mechanic!
Pretty cool, short sweet and to the point. I think a enemy that shoots towards you (perhaps multi colored projectiles that you block with corresponding staff) would be a nice addition if you do more levels.
Death truly is the beginning in this game. I love the egyptian theme.
Love the music and the mechanic!
I liked the color changing mechanic to defeat the corresponding enemy.
The atmosphere was nice too.
My only complain would be that the audio is too loud and there's no volume setting in the game (that I could see).
Good job!
This game had a nice base mechanic which made intuitive sense. Perhaps varying what mobs do based on their colour/class would add complexity.
