Really nice game, it's amazing for people learning how to type fast! I enjoyed it a lot!
I love spreadsheets, so I was very excited when I discovered this game! I love typing games too.
I found this game really encouraging me to get good at not making typos, lest I risk taking more damage.
Great music, and intro at the start. Also, very nice interpretation of the theme!
The carpal tunnel surgery kit was great - How ironic that you gotta type it out to use it.
I really liked the slight variations of the non-alphabetical characters in the typing challenges, and I adore the purple miniboss names!
I also really like that the game lets you trade off your current run time for the opportunity to go around and heal yourself up by fighting additional creatures.
Another design choice I really liked was that you can see what creatures await in adjacent cells, so you can decide which ones you want to fight.
Fantastic entry, I really enjoyed this. Well done!
Great game, wish my school had this when they were teaching us to type!
Only suggestion would be a "quick replay" button that would skip the opening dialog, but that's super minor.
The hardest cells for me had the word "armour", which my fingers just refuse to type!
One other suggestion - consider putting the characters remaining somewhere closer to the player's sight line. I found myself rarely checking my chars and then being totally surprised when I ran out. Implementation-wise, I imagine this as a colored box that appears under the current cell. It wouldn't obscure the current cell or the neighboring cells, just give an indication how much health is remaining and maybe a better indication when health is being lost.
Hey, I know it's been a while, but I've just released the full version of the game. There are many new mechanics, and the character count is now shown in the cell highlight, right underneath the cell. Feel free to try it again!
A really clever theme implementation.
Despite not having arts, the game is aesthetically pleasing.
The correct typing sound effect and damage sound effect is nice, if there was a mistake sound that would be perfect. Wish I could lower the BGM, but I'm willing to keep listening to it.
The game is hard, you need to type really really fast to get to the final sheet. But it is very fun.
And the story is simple but good enough for the game.
Overall, great game. One of the best I have played in this jam.
Great idea, one of the better ones!
