The platforming has a really nice game feel, I love the retro aesthetic! Good job!

Simple yet fun game! Controls very well! Having the camera be lower or having it show a larger area would be nice, sometimes you can't see platforms you need to jump down to. It was a good experience regardless!

Thanks for the input! I'll keep that in mind for the future.

Great little platformer!  Did you create this in Godot 3 or 4?  I'm curious as to how you created the web export and have downloads available.  I wasn't sure how to do it so I opted to keep the windows/linux builds available for download.   I didn't run into the same issues as some of the other commenters (I played the web version using the Opera Browser on Windows 11 Pro).

Thanks! It is made in Godot 4.0.3. In itch when uploading for the web, I had to check a box for "SharedArrayBuffer". Without enabling that the web version wouldn't work at all. I struggled with it for a while until I finally found that solution.

  • SharedArrayBuffer support — (Experimental) This may break parts of the page or your project. Only enable if you know you need it. Learn more

Awesome!  Thank you.  I'll play around with it while I'm not trying to submit anything for a jam and see how it works.   We used 4.0.2 for our game.  Super excited for 4.1

I like the clean art of this.

Good job with the game. Haha, I need to read. I didn't realize you could double-jump until I got really stuck and couldn't figure out how to proceed.

I like the Gameboy look and I liked the music!

Keep up the good work!

I probably should have made the controls stand out a bit more. It is a bit hard to read at first glance. Thanks for the input!

I wish you could go full-screen in the web version. Also there is a small issue where you have to land onto platforms below the camera. Other than that, a fun little platformer.

Developer

Thanks for the input! I'll have to make some updates over time.  I added a web build so more people can play it.

Short and simple game with basic mechanics. The art and music were selected well and didn't clash with each other.

Some feedback:

  • Make the .exe window resizable or make it a larger resolution by default
  • I had to use trial and error to find which areas of the floor were spikes as I couldn't see them at the top of the level.
  • The spikes have oversized hitboxes, at least horizontally.
  • You should upload a web build to get more plays and ratings. I don't use godot but I've heard it exports to html fairly easily.

However, these were fairly minor issues and didn't really affect my enjoyment of the game. I hope you'll add more levels and keep improving it. Good job!

I like the art style, and if there are more levels and more item in the scene will be better!
