I really liked its atmosphere: basically alone in dark foggy night trying to save ship. However on the more “realistic” settings the lights are really underwhelming, especially considering the Unreal engine was used.

From the gameplay perspective, it was a bit confusing at first. No UI, crosshair or highlighted interactable objects (quite hard to hit the horn button). But things got figured out fast thanks to small gameplay area. (Mouse sensitivity was also way too high for me, just as is and compared to the sensitivity in menus). The core gameplay was repetitive, but not boring. It was tense, actually. For the future version however, it would be quite helpful to have ability to move the light to either direction at will.

A lot of things about this game are just right. The pacing, the learning curve, the controls, the simple graphics, even the [redacted]. Reminds me a bit of Do You Copy?.

Yes, there are a few downsides, the lore is too short, the ships don’t visibly correlate with the messages, there are some glitches, etc. But on the other hand, tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.

This game slaps. Go play it right now.

This game is less on the game part and more on the atmospheric part. Hey, you are a lighthouse operator! In a foggy night you shine on ships and… honk on them! Honk! Honk! There is some story developing by the means of telegraph and honking on the ships. There is not much to game play - you position the light, honk, run to the telegraph station, rinse and repeat. It also happened that all the ships came from one direction so only thing I did was honking and checking the telegraph. But that atmosphere… I liked it. And the honking. Yes, I liked honking in this game! The light cone effect has some 90’s / 00’s vibes to me, some more modern and realistic approach could probably fit the atmosphere better, but it was okay. Also, the abrupt ship backing seemed unrealistic. But what in the game is realistic? In reality, the light is spinning and honking is done regularly by itself. And in reality, there are no… no, I won’t spoil the ending. On a technical side, given the content, I think that 50 MB should be enough. But even if not much of a game, good job. Honk!

Thanks for the review!

Ships weren't all supposed to come from one direction, that's a bug, but at least it was easier to finish the game xD.

I know that lighthouses do this stuff automatically, but I thought it could be interesting to have the player do it himself, that's why I chose to implement it this way B).

Sadly I didn't really have time to implement more interesting gameplay mechanics (and to polish the ships backing up😭), but I'm glad you enjoyed the atmosphere!! It was a huge pain to get the lighting to look decent.

And I agree, 50 MB should be enough, again, I didn't have enough time to fix this issue ://

Thaanks for playing!!
