Really nice music and art! :)
Thank you so much! I'm glad that you enjoyed it, Shawn really did do an amazing job on the art :)
great interactions. I liked the shuffling notes. very nice game.
Thanks Kaleva, I'm really glad that you enjoyed it! :)
Great job making something so complete!
Thank you so much!
Thank you!
I felt baddly tempted to play this game... how bad from me...
I don know how to feel about it, WOULD YOU COMPLIMEN ME PLEAS!?
I have a lot to say about this game, and everything is good. It feels like the disney version of what would be opening this exact place.
I mean, probably most people would feel judged by paying somebody for this, but in this game makes it feel really good!
I guess i just dont see people like others because i failed in most choices in my first round, trying to be just a "Typical Complimenter", but when i started thinking what others wanted to hear from me, i did it perfectly.
I felt weird things about your game, but it is just a game, and everybody liked it, and i should check out my toughts about life. Good game, liked the duck, disliked the grandma because other's oldness scares me a lot, great game!
Thank you Hartyl, I really appreciate all of the kind feedback. We were definitely going for a "warm and cozy" kind of effect for the game, so it makes me really happy to hear that it seemed to work out well with you. :)
It also really excites me to hear that you enjoyed it enough to play through more than once! Congrats on improving your score the second time around, some of those customers are quite dastardly!!!
Hahahahaha, sorry about the grandma. Hopefully the duck made up for it.
Awawaw, it is fine for the grandma, she was so happy!
I hope you both would keep being friends and live your dreams without ruining your lifes in a computer, xd!
Thank you Hartyl, you're the best:)
I'm glad you enjoyed the game and it looks like it touched on something deep for you, I feel we are all looking for compliments but it's always awkward to expect it I guess. It warms my heart to know that you think the game makes this awkwardness feel good:) Thanks again for the feedback!
really nicely done congrats on being able to juggle life and game dev.
Thank you! It was a struggle but we made it! Glad you liked it:)
Ditto to what Shawn said, thank you so much :)
Nice idea! And I love the graphics.
Thanks Tsuroru, I'm glad that you enjoyed our game :)
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it:)
Fun, casual game. I could see this as a mobile game, love the different characters and animation. really enjoyed the game. Nice take on the theme. Great entry.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! And I could see that this would work for mobile, definitely would be a consideration if we were to expand this idea further in the future! :)
Thanks for the compliment Petipois, I'm happy that you enjoyed our game.
I hadn't thought about making a mobile port of the game. If Shawn and I were to expand upon it further we will have to keep that in mind :D
This was fantastic! It was all presented in such a fun way and I love the art and little audio bits from the visitors. The gameplay was so simple and worked in a really satisfying way. I loved the duck the most :D I think compliment booths need to be a permanent addition in major cities :D Great work!
Thanks James, I really appreciate your feedback and am glad that you enjoyed our game.
Shawn and I had an absolute blast collaborating on this project, so thank you for being the catalyst that made it a reality! :)
Thank you so much James! We had a blast voicing all the characters so I'm glad you enjoyed them. :) This project has been so much fun to make so thank you for presenting this opportunity! I'm really happy that you liked the game!
P.S. I agree duck is best character :)
Great art, and a fantastic idea! A very minor nitpick is that the cursor doesn't react when clicking on things, like it doesn't have a 'clicking' animation. It's hard to think of things I didn't like in this project!
Thanks for the compliment Ralf, I'm glad that you enjoyed our project!
And thank you for the suggestion, I think that having more states and animations for the cursor would be a fantastic addition. You just gave me another idea, it would also be nice to have a "grab" state for when players are moving the compliments about in their notebook.
Thanks again! :)
Thank you so much! The cursor change is a great suggestion, I can see how that can help with player feedback and adding more interactivity to the game! Maybe we can have more objects that react to the player cursor in the booth too, so many ideas :)
Fantastic :) - love the way you have to check for the compliments they'd want to hear. Great stuff! :)
Thank you so much! It was a challenge thinking up what compliments to put to balance everything, so I'm glad you enjoyed the gameplay for that! :)
Thanks for the kind words, we were definitely inspired by Papers Please when we came up with the folder/compliment checking system, but I've never done that kind of thing before so I wasn't quite sure how it would turn out.
I'm happy to hear that you thought it worked out well :)
Interesting experience. Cool and funny idea, good job.
Thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate it:)
Thank you OKda, I'm glad that you enjoyed it!
The complimenting booth game is fun !!! Though, the old lady and duck hated me for complimenting their smile ☹
Thanks for pointing these out, there are definitely still some tweaks we need for the game. I'm still glad you enjoyed it! :)
Thanks for the compliment Nabarun, as Shawn mentioned we are planning to tweak some of the character requests / answers a little bit in the future.
I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed it :)
I think this is my favorite one. Interactable menu icons, super fun art style/characters, so wholesome! And a day night cycle...it has it all.
Thank you! It was a lot of fun to make all of it so I'm glad you liked it:)
Holy cow, thank you for the praise Micah. It really warms my heart to hear that you enjoyed our game so much.
I'm not going to lie, I was very afraid that no-one was going to notice the interactable menu items. So you absolutely just made my day! :D
The artwork is awesome! Really unique and fun game!
Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed it:)
