Controls were not so usable, I had troubles doublejumping on walls during the tutorial. I also had some kind of kernel panic I thought it was part of the game but then I could't get out so I suppose the game crashed (I tried again anyways and was able to continue without a crash).  Couldn't find the secondary theme interpretation in the game. Graphics are not bad and it has gb soul.

Developer

Oh I haven't had that crash. Can you remember where it happened?

Nice game, love the idea of permanent upgrades it keeps you hyped. :) Have that lag feel when moving of a real game boy and swap of weapons it's a great feature. There is always room to upgrade it but for jam release more than enough!

KERNEL PANIC! great game by the way!

Developer

Can you remember when the kernel panic happened? I haven't had that issue when testing

Nice game with a lot of variety and challenges!

I think it'd be better if I got another chance at the same level I just died on, instead of going back to the menu and starting another random chain. There isn't much introduction to sword slash and double jump, for example, so that when you actually need to use those quickly it's a little bit of a panic.

Dang, double jumps in a GB game. I'd never seen that coming. Nor velocity based movement speed.
