The grappling hook is super fun once you get the hang of it! It could have been nice to have a bit of a tutorial level to mess around in before you start being chased by lava.

The grappling hook was really difficult to get used to, but when you do it feels great to use. The animation really helps in  that aspect too. The animation of the rope vibrating looks too good. Great job! Would love to see an intro level or some sorts to help people get used to the controls.

Super fun little game and amazing concept. Had a few difficulty's and maybe some things to consider at the start.

So the way your game is set up is, you start and play the game. progress through the game win then rinse and repeat. With a formula like this i think you could simplify your start screen to better suit future jams in this way.

I don't think you need to have a separate button for controls. I think the only thing you need is "push whatever button to start" then show them what the basic controls are, then move onto the game. this will make it so the user wont have to look at the itch page to figure out what buttons to use when they launch the game.

The music in your game was really good but honestly was difficult to enjoy because the loop restarts each time you die. I would consider making the loop endless so that it wont restart every time you die and you can enjoy the full soundtrack.

nice job!

Intense! It feels like Flappy Bird meets Icy Tower. Love the palette and the feeling of scaling an endless tower.

It's tough as nails, I'm still not sure if I got the mechanic down. I kind of wish you could go through a platform from the bottom. Not sure if that would be game breaking.

Overall great!! I need to figure out how to get better than 20......

Good graphics but I think the lava could be a little slower, at least at the beggining!
Nice entry ;)

stupid fun, makes me want some kind of STREAMERZ/metroid crossover. the visuals are both detailed and clear, awesome use of the limited palette!

Nice submission! i see a lot of potential with using the grappling hook to launch into enemies. I would play a full version of this game on my phone :D

I liked the grappling hook mechanic a lot! It's kind of hard to get the hang of it, but is engaging enough for you to want to keep trying. Overall good game!

Wow! This is insane, what a great game and amazing use of color. It blows my mind how well the grappling hook works and it feels really nice, especially the loose to tight animation. I would have enjoyed having more of a playground to use the hook in since the rush of rising lava really kept me on my toes in the beginning as I was learning, but the audio felt nice and I’m just blown away by how nice it looks. Great job!

This has great music and was a blast to play once I figured out how to play, I think the controls are a bit clunky and it is hard to use the grapple hook. I could just be bad at video games lol, great job!
