Really fun game! Especially liked the time slow down when using the dash ability.
The game has great juicy and occult feel. I was unable to do the sword mechanic (stop as close to the red line as possible, just never matched up with anything I was seeing on screen). In the end, I felt like the combat was intense but my input fairly irrelevant (even though it was fun to listen to and watch). Felt like I was just placing the hitBomb over as many enemies as possible.
I do think this is the start to a game that can go places though and was fun to play.
Feels good - hopefully it will feel even better with a Update to the Sword Mechanic :)
First, thank you for including controls/instructions in game. So many of the games I'm trying I just have no idea what I'm doing lol
It took me a while to get the hang of the combat, but once I did it's really satisfying. Sometimes I think the hitstop was a little too excessive and feels more like lag than punch. On the other hand, overall it felt really good to play and I kept going back for seconds
Also, strong Hotline Miami vibes on the main menu
That is a lot of effects! I had no idea what was going on but it felt great anyways lol. Agreed that I feel like none of my sword attacks were connecting
This is powerful
The dash and all of the movement feels so great, the visuals and all that juice in on point
However, I feel like the sword hitbox is way too fiddly. I felt like I missed about 80% of all attacks I did which made me die way more than felt needed
So yea, if I didn't feel like I couldn't sensibly attack most of the time, this would be the perfect power fantasy. as it is right now, it's not a power fantasy but still plenty juicy!
