Did you use any third-party assets or skeleton code?
Some of the code was cannibalized and reshaped from past projects. A few of the sound effects are heavily edited third party sound effects. Everything else is 100% original and handmade

I really enjoyed your game! great visuals and sound design. gameplay loop was great with lots of different power-ups.
outrageous, fast-paced and the games holds the upmost juice!
Hey! Since you enjoyed the jam version, I wanted you to know that we decided to expand and polish this into a full release. It's available to wishlist on Steam and it would mean a lot if you'd give it a follow. Cheers!
Cool Vampire Survivors-like game. I really liked the music!

Very cool entry, nice polish and use of theme via gameplay.

This was so good! I loved the worldbuilding and aesthetic, and the upgrades all felt meaningful
Personally, I found the escalation of power to be a bit conservative (pun fully intended) as I found myself getting overwhelmed quite easily at some point during my runs, ending them. But the gunplay and effects themselves were really cool, this is a fun and well-polished game!

Really fun survival game! The visuals and sounds all mesh really well together and create a unique game.
One of my favorite games from the jam so far!

That's an awesome juicy, polished and fun game !
I had a lot of fun and really wanted to get more and more upgrades, I had a vampire survivor feeling on how addictive it was ^^ The dash is really nice to make the gameplay not as repetitive, great design and balancing overall!
The only critics I could give is that I think it could have been more creative on the mechanics. It's a really nice and polished shooter, but a very classical shooter nonetheless.
Amazing job for such a short time! bravo

A neat aesthetic with a vibe that mimics the arcade days. Addicting gameplay loop!
Particle effects really make things awesome. And this game nails it!

Overall great submission.

What it could improve on
Thanks! I love particle effects lol
And I appreciate the feedback! The music was definitely a time constraint issue. We prioritized working on the SFX and as the deadline approached we toyed with the idea of using some royalty free music, but ultimately decided it was important to us to use as close to 100% original assets and work
For the difficulty escaping, I'd recommend you try out the "Fool Me Once" and "Personal Space" perks if you see them come up ;)

For some reason the game insists on opening on my portrait second monitor hah, but still fun to play! Good luck, this will definitely be one of the highlights of the jam
Huh, that's weird. Are other Unity games doing that or just this one? I think all the build settings are pretty much default so I'm not sure what would be causing that. Glad you enjoyed it anyway!
Other games load on my main monitor, I will try again tomorrow from my laptop, but honestly it was still playable just like playing on a higher difficulty!
Lol. Temporarily disabling your secondary monitor would probably fix it. Annoying that you have to do that at all though

Awesome, will it be steam deck compatible? This is the exact sort of thing I'd be playing on my steamdeck
Yeah, it definitely will be
Very Juicy & addictive !
Love the visuals ! The whole aesthetic & style got me thinking of ape-out <3
Took me a few try to beat it (with a few unlucky pick in the shop) but every time I got the urge to press retry (ok ! Just one more !)
Great work !
Definetly one of my fav for this jam !
Yo, Ape Out is awesome. I wasn't even thinking about Ape Out at all while I was making this, but I must have subconsciously had it in there because there are definitely a few similarities

The colour scheme in this game is lovely, In addition to that the directional blood splatters just gives the game that extra oomph and satisfaction
Thank you!

Was unlucky with the upgrades at first and died twice at level 5. The third time got the shotgun upgrade followed by SMG and explosions. Managed to beat the game finally.
Very good stuff. Having the music a bit lower would have been nice. The game is fun though and the art style is cool. Good job!
Glad you had fun! I definitely would have liked to add volume adjustment but decided to use my time on content and polish instead. I was also thinking I might add a bit more of an 'intelligent' roll on the perks if I end up working on this more. It's definitely tough if you don't get good upgrades

Great game! Love the gameplay and color scheme!
