Nice game, welldone! can you please play my game to get feedback!

Developer

Of course, I will give an honest review

Submitted

Worked for 27 months! I really liked the progression, from being able to see the outcomes of the choices to being in a total black afterwards. I also like that it feels like your destiny can go very wide, even though through replays you find out that’s not true haha. Nice work.

Developer

I'm glad this game created an experience for you. Playing many games is like living a life, like Uncharted.

Submitted

At first I was making choice based on how it would affect my stats, but when the pluses and minuses disappeared I start making choice based on my moral compass. I really appreciated the change, good work!

My bro, you caught this detailed design, I’m so happy!

This game makes me question about the decision I supposed to make, Everything it's wrong with me... Paper please vibes intense here.

Developer

I think all choices have good and bad qualities. Every choice you make is best suited to your current environmental conditions, but it may not necessarily be in line with future development trends.

Thanks for playing!

liked the story! very toucing but its a lot of reading not a lot of doing

Developer

You are right, next time  I will try a more playable game type

Pretty neat game, got to 27 months! And I'm sorry that you had to go through that, the laid-off and everything. Hopefully things are better now and good work on making this game! Very great stuff!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your kindness. I am living a good life in real life. I have no financial problems and I am very happy making games. I just can’t find a job for the time being. Hahahaha

That was a pretty good game. I managed to last 27 months. Finding balance between work and personal life, and keeping your colleagues and your boss impressed is quite tough; my health and money bar were close to reaching 0 in various parts of the game.

By the way, if this is what you went through in your life--including the part where you got laid off and had to find another job or focused on making indie games, I'm sorry that you had to go through that and hope that you are feeling better now. Thanks for creating a great game for all of us in this jam, and congrats on making your first game on itch.io.

I laughed and cried a little on the inside at the same time.... lol. Never more fun to be a corporate slave

Developer

It seems that all of us has the same feeling

Kept my job for 27 months and then went to make indie games. This was fun! Simple design but the situations were very well thought out. Well done!

Developer

Hahaha, choose indie game make us meet here

Submitted

Pretty decent game. I managed to get past only first year because of poor strategy. It'll help a bit to include quirky graphics.

Developer

Good suggestion, I will add graphics in the future!

I played the gd.games version. Managed to get 21 months ingame, leaderboard in this case would be nice to have. :)
How much is the highest possible years / months (ingame points) one could get?

Developer(+1)

The highest is 27 months. Because there are not enough events currently being done, I thought the leaderboardare not differentiated enough. I will remember to add the leaderboard list next time. Thank you for playing!

Submitted

OK nice to know. So I missed 6 months. :O :)

Submitted

Interesting concept.  Text based and in fact it is necessary to think strategically when answering. Fun.

Developer

Thank you for playing!I refer to the gameplay of" Regins"

Let's make a decision
... and feel the real life sadness.
(I enjoyed this game.)

Developer

Fortunately, making games is very enjoyable.

Submitted(+1)

I love the game. I had my job for almost 2 years (23 months). You could have added a leaderboard.

Developer

Thank you for your suggestion! I will add it next time。

I remember playing a lot of these types of games on newgrounds.com Awesome idea with the progress bars really shows what can be sacrificed in a game development career. I survived 17 months by my mental health was suffering had to make a change even if it upset the boss. Would have liked to see some artwork inbetween each promt. Good game to simulate what it is like to work in a development company even if its in text form.

Developer

I understand what you are saying. I made a reference to the gameplay of “Regins”. If you are interested, you can try “Regins”, it's very interesting!

Submitted

Cool concept! You should keep expanding on it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, there are still very few workplace events and it is not easy to expand. Maybe I'll keep this gameplay after the game jam and switch to a historical theme.

Submitted

I played this on Gdgames and it is an interesting concept it really iliterates the balance of life sacrificing personal health to win at life. Well done and keep at it.

Developer

You get the point I was trying to convey!

Submitted

I lasted 27 months!

very neat, and I liked the little reveal at the end.
Tried to make decisions as close to what I would personally do as possible, so unsurprisingly got very close to $0 a couple times. haha.
Nice work!

Developer

Hahaha, how can everything in the world be perfect?

Submitted

I cant even play the game here or on gdevelop.

Developer

This is really annoying. I really wish this game could be run directly on the web. Can you download the exe file and play it? This game is really unique.

Submitted(+1)

I really like this. It’s not too dissimilar to what I went with! I can really feel the struggle in this game, and it felt like it had a pretty strong personal touch.

I take it you’ve been having trouble figuring out how to embed the game on itch.io? Here’s what I do:

  1. Export the game to HTML in GDevelop. It’ll spit out a whole bunch of files.
  2. Put all of those exported files into a zip file.
  3. Upload that zip file to itch.io, and check the box that says, “This file will be played in the browser.”
Developer

Thank you for your play and serious review! I am so happy that you have such a playing experience!

I have done all the steps you listed, and I strictly followed the official video tutorial, but it still doesn't work.

Developer

There is a comment that both itch and gd.games can't be runned. How did you get it, download the exe file?

Submitted

I played the gd.games link for your game, personally.

Developer

Get it, thanks again!
