Really nice shooter game. The turret shot are a bit hard to avoid but it look like it doesn't stop you from playing. The music and art are fitting well together ! Congrats !

Developer

Thanks for playing. Yes, i made the turret shots mostly harmless. They only knock you back a bit, because the main threat should be the 60 second timer. This way I can balance the game a bit easier. Thank you for the feedback :)

OH NOOOOO! I don't have a PC so I can't play this game. (I'm on a mac.) It looks so nice from the screenshots. Any chance you could post a video? Obviously a web build would be incredible, but maybe that's not doable with the shaders and stuff. Thanks so much for playing my game and sharing feedback, regardless! Good luck with the jam!

Developer

Thanks for reaching out. I only realised that I could do a web build, after the time was already up. I did record me playing the game a bit so you can get a feel of what its about. The video is on the game page and I got the link right here:

I really liked this game. The art and controls were pretty good, reminds of some 90s PC games I loved when I was a kid.

Developer

Thanks for playing the game :)

GameMaker 2 squad represent!  The controls felt super smooth, and the recoil on shooting felt really great.  One thing I'd suggest is maybe less crisp edges around the enemy ship to make it look more natural, but overall the art was good and it was super fun!  Great job!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. Yes i had some trouble with the background tiles. Thats definetly a thing i want to improve in the future

Ah, my favorite GM2 developer! I was very interested to see what you did with the new particle system. Great job on all the visuals. The mechanics of the game (controls, knockback, etc.) felt just like I expected them to. Great work as usual!!!

Thank you! As always, i had a lot of fun contributing to this game jam, sometimes a bit stressfull, but i tried my best :P

Fun game little game here. At first the thought the controls were going to be too hard for me, but a bit of playing they felt great and I was able to finish the game. I would love to see a variety of enemies/turrets. This has a lot of potential.

Developer

Thank you for the good feedback :) lets see how far we get in the game jam

Very responsive game! I loved the knockback on the rockets. Made the shooting feel a lot more visceral. Great use of music and SFX, too.

Best of luck to you in the round!

Developer

Thanks, good luck to you, too :D

The movement in this game is so fun! Really liked all the visual effects and feedback, it made the shooting extremely satisfying. Nice job :)
