Thats a fun point and click adventure, good job! I got stuck at the magic wand with the teleporters already set up, but will definetly return to this one later on. All the small texts were really funny and I love all the little details :) The saving system was not something I got used to. I always forgot to save, but thats definetly on me. Overall a fun game!
Pretty fun! I got pretty far on my own but didn't think of using the plant with my laser gun, nor did I think of chucking a calculator at the wand. I ate the plant because I thought maybe it would make me grow so I could reach the wand, and then I died :D
This has all the vibes from the 90s point and click adventure games. Very polished and visually very appealing but it has the same issues the 90s games had; it’s very difficult to properly balance interesting puzzles without making them too obtuse and nonsensical. Like, I opened the door and died, there was no indication or clue about it being poisonous and I started interacting with things from left to right. The hints in the game page helped but since it opened all of them at the same time it spoiled the rest of the puzzles. Maybe they could be incorporated into the game itself somehow.
Makes me think of these pajama sam games I like it! I did manage to softlock myself with not taking the 50 cents, text said I had it so I went but when I came back the dog was back. Besides that it was really fun!
Very polished point-and-click game! I really appreciate the effort you put into writing unique lines for different item interactions.
Gameplay-wise, the game is solid, but I felt that some item combinations were a little far-fetched and hard to figure out—like using the calculator on the wand or using the plant to power up the laser gun.
Another small issue is the door placement. When entering a room from the hallway, the door to the inner room is on the same side as the hallway entrance, which made it feel like it was the door I came through, not a new door to another room. That caused me to get stuck for a while.
I also found a small bug: when you use the wand on the dog to turn it into a wizard, then leave the room, it turns back into a dog and you're stuck. I eventually managed to hit the dog and died, so I wouldn't have to restart the game.
All of these are minor issues—the game is still amazing and really fun to play. Great job!
GAH! What a wonderful little adventure! Its so cute and funny and made me scratch my head many times but in a fun way.
If I had to give any critique, it might only be that some of the required interactions were just so goofy I dont know how I would have ever gotten it if not for just spamming different items on different rooms constantly haha
But I had a great time, and I'm ready to go to the disco!
What a cute and entertaining game! The mouse controls were perfect for a point and click game (as is in the name) and I loved how the different objects were incorporated. For the most part though they didn't feel super cohesive. I think it worked okay for this kind of game but some of them felt really random. Some of the puzzles were really cool, like the one where you *SPOILER* have to use the teleporters to get fertilizer to the plant. Others... not so much. I think there were a few too many actions and a lot of the puzzles boiled down to doing the right action on the right object, like using OPEN on the painting for some reason. Some of the objects were used in strange ways, which is standard for the genre but some of them were pretty nasty, like when I read the hint to *SPOILER* use the calculator to knock the wand down I threw up a bit. I think in terms of incorporating objects, having this calculator exist for the purpose of literally any solid throwable object wasn't really great, and it also made no sense as opposed to something like just a rock would. The game was really polished though, and I thought the different ways to die were fun and entertaining, and the goofy vibes were complimented by the audio. Overall, nicely done!
