Super addicting! I loved the feel of progression in this. Getting the increased damage and mowing down trees and rocks (and people) just feels good. Great animations, a whole seed based island generator, just incredible work!
OHMAIGOSH??? You think I'm going to win???? I really appreciate that! What an honor! This game was excellent, I know you didn't have enough time to finish due to illness, though this was still all amazing, I loved both modes, they both feel really different, I think with more bugs and a day night cycle you could turn this into almost like a 2D crafting survival game! Can't stress enough how talented you are, and how I'm going to have a big opponent in the final. Congrats.
First, I really hope you're feeling better. That aside, I still think you have a really cool idea here. So many small things that looked and felt really good. (I'm especially curious about getting it moving up walls...)
Two small things I would point out. First, once I hit about level 9 or 10, it started lagging the whole browser. Tried a different one just to test, same result. Unsure of what would be causing it though. Second, it felt pretty easy once you got to a certain point. Could pretty much one-shot villagers. Likely just a balance thing that got delayed with the sickness.
Even with those two things, it's still really impressive what you produced. Great job!
cool crafting mechanics. Fun build up of power as you become a deadly centipede. Great technical abilities shown! Nice job!
This was a really cool game! how you managed to fit a whole seed based island generator into two weeks while also being sick is just insane. like others have said this game is super well polished with lots of cool animations like for the centipede. even with the bugs this is still an amazing game!
Wow. Glad to see i was right about my prediction of who was going to win. despite the bugs this game is something i would pay money to play a finished version of.
Aww it was rly sad to see the game was unfinished, but I have to say you know your bugs and limitations well, and you must have prioritized your tasks so well to push out such a great game on a tight timeline, I really respect you for that. Side note I would really love to play a finished version of this game, it is already heaps of fun as is!
when you said it was unfinished i thought it was gonna be bad, not A FUCKIN MASTERPIECE, it is really fun leveling up as the centipede and gaining abilities and killing villagers, it was all really satisfying to play, like even despite being sick, you made a better game than like half of us! but after a while, my game did crash once i reached like lvl 8-9 and sorta... crashed my entire browser lol, but other than amazing entry as usual!
Despite being sick, I am impressed with how much you have accomplished here. There is a lot going on and I can only imagine what it would have been like if you had completed it. I love the fact that you can play as both the villagers and centipede.
I am really glad that you are participating in this competition. You are helping me push my game development skills to the next level, as I really want to be competitive with you. I am hopeful that I make it to the finals with you.
Had a lot of fun playing as the centipede and leveling up, it was very addicting.
Even incomplete and with bugs this was pretty cool. I thought it was an awesome concept and it was still really fun to play!
