It seems to me that this is most suitable for this topic. Cool game.

Pretty good go at the first idea that comes to mind with this theme :)

Nice to see I am not the only one who's brain went to cultists sacrificing themselves! It took me a little bit to figure out that I was supposed to be piling up my bodies, but after that the game really started to kick in.  A small tutorial portion would probably help clear that up, but hey this is a game jam so get done what ya can get done right.  I like the different dying effects based on environment, could see some extra potential in there for puzzle mechanics! Great job!

Indeed, cultists really got stuck in my ideas process when thinking of ideas for this so I just ran with it aha. I agree with you a tutorial portion is definitely needed,  I'm intending to continue development on this and I will definitely keep this in mind for when I continue. Awesome I'm glad you noticed them I had a bug up till late development where the animations would just play the first and last frame I'm so glad I put the time in to fix it during the jam! I have a lot more ideas for interactions between the cultists and mechanics.  I appreciate the constructive criticism and kind words  :D

I agree with TheSnowly that the idea of body platformer is quite an obvious one for this jam, however, the execution is really nice although i'd prefer the movement speed to be faster because we're repeating  the same level over and over again.
I also think there's a balancing issue because i can't really finish the game with the sacrifices i have (or i'm just bad)

Overall i like the concept. You took a safe choice but the execution is really nice :D

That's a fair point, I will keep that in mind for when I continue developing on this, faster movement is a good idea! I'm thinking of more tightly fit level structures as well to avoid the levels being repetitive and get back to the goals as quickly as possible. The last level  (Gibbons lair) is pretty difficult but it's possible, I did so much testing near the end to see if it was, it's a bit sneaky on the gibbon's lair level as you have the blue crystal and the portal and if you time it correctly you don't fall into the lava otherwise you have to go back and stack the cultists to get back to the portal. Thank you for the honest and constructive feedback I appreciate it :D

I feel like it was the idea that was the more obvious for this Jam.

The overall is pretty fine, you greatly polished the game and the result is cool! The movements were nice even if the jump is kind of weird at first, I really loved bunny hopping my way through x)

Backtracking in later levels was not so fun and it's maybe because I didn't finished the game, but the gameplay is quite repetitive, it's always about making pillars in order to cross gaps or ennemies. Maybe you could have made some variations, like using corpse to block upcoming projectiles or press a button on ground.

However it's still a nice game!

Thank you, first jam I've ever done so wasn't sure what to expect, got stuck with the idea in my head and just ran with it. I'm intending to continue development with a friend and get some more interesting levels put together. I did have some ideas for some extra mechanics written down but time was the enemy here aha.  Appreciate the honest feedback :D

Nice concept! Could see some really interesting puzzles developing out of this idea!

Thankyou, I'm intending to continue development on this afterward with some friends to flesh out some of the machanics and get alot more potential from them aswell.
