First, congratulation for implementing portals !

In term of gameplay, why do you choose 15 cubes, not 10 nor 5 ? or 10 shot ? ... It must have a reason.
With maximum 3 times of the same sequence the game will be more dynamic.

I see you put a lot of content, and that's great !

Jump sound can be better, but music score is really good.

Nice work.

Suggestion: use doors that open/close automatically to guaranty that player do not forget to close them.

ooo boii your game is fantastic , i guess you have worked for the whole week, Your game have a huge amount of good things so if i write those all, it would take a lot of time, so now i will tell you only 2 or 3 small things which i dont like,

1. The red color level is too vibrant, i dont know why but that level hurts my eyes so it would be good that it would be less vibrant and saturated.

2. At starting levels, 15 Squares is too much, it should be around 5.

3. When the game start , the player gets stuck on the stairs alot, i down know why but that happen.

and yeh one more thig jump sound can be improved.

Summery of good Things : Let me tell you with number 9.5/10

You did an amazing Job!!!

I also request you to check my First Game Jam game also and give you honest opinion on that.

Thanks

Thank you for your feedback! The visuals of the game will probably be changed before I release the post-jam version, along with cube world, I have been receiving a few comments about that. And the movement has already had some great fixes for the post-jam! Thanks again, I will check yours out too!

Waiting for the post jam version, i would love to play that

This was very confusing at first but in overall pretty nice.  You get kinda stuck in the stairs but it's nothing too serious. SFX was nice. Maybe use some post-processing in future? Keep up the good work!

Bro this is amazing, I have no clue how you managed to achieve so much in such little time. The only thing i'll say is that getting stuck on walls could get a tiny but annoying but other than that great job.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! That is actually the first thing I fixed in the post-jam version of the game! I'm glad you enjoyed the game.

This was a very interesting experience for me. While playing, I thought the game was very creative and intriguing. At first I played the browser version, but it got way too laggy on the tedious task, so I downloaded it. But, I still struggled with the platforming. I eventually did get up, got a little farther, got stuck, and eventually gave up anyway, But by looking at the guide, I was surprised at how much content was actually in the game, and how well it was thought out. I also thought the atmosphere along with the music was very fitting for the game, and I really liked how you interpreted the theme. One suggestion I have is to make it easier and less complicated cause no one likes playing a jam game for more than ten minutes. However, this is still a great entry and I thought the portal mechanic was super cool. Good job!

Developer

Yeah, creating a "jam game" became less and less of a priority as the week went on, and I figured that I should use my whole week to my advantage! Thanks for your feedback and I hope you come back to finish the game sometime!

Submitted

That's so much work for one week, wow.

I hope you're getting some rest right now.

15 cubes are too much but you know

it already your not a cow.

*mic drop*

My computer is can't handle the size of this submission. My computer lags out when I got to the "Tedious Task". Sry that I am not able to finish the game.

Developer

Yeah, I was afraid about performance, I tried my best to optimize everything on the last day. Did you play in the browser or download? The game typically runs much better when downloaded.

Submitted

I played the browser version

Developer

If you have time, try playing the downloaded version of the game! It runs much better, and the rest of the game is pretty fun :)

Submitted

Ok, I download the game if I have time. My internet is also kinda slow so we shall see.

I gave the game another shot and had a very pleasant evening playing it, once I understood you don't have to put  the 15 cubes up the  parkour. However I only managed to really enjoy the game with the help of the walkthrough. I feel like some things, especially what things you have to do first in order to progress. Some of the things I got to know through the walkthrough aren't very intuitive and should be included in-game. But, I don't wanna be too hard on you, it is after all a game-jam submission, even though this game is scarily full of content.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I have plans to continue working on this game post-jam, and I agree, the puzzles should be more intuitive. Most puzzle games have a walkthrough, so I thought I would add it just in case people got stuck, but it is unfortunate that most people will just use it to play the game. Out of curiosity, did you complete the game? Or how far did you get? Thanks again for the feedback!

Submitted

I completed every "Shape-Room" and put one of every Shapes in the shelf, so I just needed to put one of every Shape into the Hub-Doors. Then, however, I somehow managed to fall into the void, and didn't see any way too get back.

Well, the "Tedious Task" was a bit too tedious for me, and i think it will be for other players too... It's a huge wall that stops players (like me) that don't have the patience to do the same task 15+ times, not even counting the amount of time that you fail to get up there... Too Bad, it seemed a really good game from the screenshots and what i've seen so far -_-

Also, and this is only a personal thing, using the scroll wheel while holding right click was incredibly hard for me x.x

Submitted(+1)

+1, the game seems really great,  but 15 cubes is definitely too much

Developer(+1)

Just curious, did you open the door and try the cube in it? The level becomes a lot easier once you do that. The scroll wheel was a last minute addition. Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted (1 edit)

Yes, i did!! I spent like 15 minutes on the red level trying to take the cubes to the top, but i always fell so i closed the game in frustration :/

(I never managed to reach the top in my previous run. I'll try again now :3)
