This was a really fun game to play! I really like the aspect of leaving a trail of your own self behind which was pretty fun.
It took me a while to notice that the Wizards actually drained the health of the player. I was expecting it to be an insta-kill so I played super cautiously lol
The artwork was nice I really liked the Slime art it was very "slimeyy"!
On a nitpicking phase, I would have enjoyed some level transition instead of an instead level switch but that was more of a polish aspect.
Overall, a good game and super cool entry! Well Done!

Its a simple premise and nice use of the theme. Where would we be without slime eh? I liked the art on the wizards. A pretty solid entry.

Hey, nice game... actually to be honest I'm more than slightly annoyed at the wizards... but setting that aside...
Was trying to get past level 2. I'm fairly certain it is not possible in the current setup. It would have been though if a certain bug (eat slime -> full slime) mentioned in previous comments was still in the game... consider adding another patch of no-cost travel terrain to level 2, or possibly allowing the player to succeed on the 12th move.
To be clear, what I deduced was that it takes 16 moves (8 horizontal and vertical) to make it to the opposite corner, but the player will die on their 12th move-payment, regardless of if that move would have meant victory. So, assuming that each move is a step toward the goal, we need to have greater than 4 no-cost moves. But I could not see a path that offered a low enough cost to offer survival. Feel free to point out if I am missing something.
Fun game (seen the mention of glitches so won't talk too much about it). Love the mechanic where your movement is limited by your health making this a great puzzle game. The game is also very forgiving and let me retrace my steps which honestly I should have done in mine haha. Not too difficult and lovely art style! great entry well done!
The sound in this game is really pretty and I love the concept. I got stuck on the wizard people and had to reload the page cause nothing was happening and this happened a few times. But otherwise it was really good.

Nice job! The audio was really on point with the settings and the general idea of the slime was fitting the theme well. The game is a bit bugged, more than once I got stuck with the wizards in a way that didn’t let me die or restart the level, so I had to reload the page.

Great music: it fit the fantasy setting with the wizards while also communicating the sliminess. The concept was interesting, but I'm not sure how much sense it makes that dipping in and out of a puddle to eat your own slime can refill your entire health from anywhere with a puddle in the level. Also, I got stuck on the wizards a number of times, and had to reload the itch page to try again. It would be nice if the wizards just killed me faster, let me escape or if there was a button to press to quickly reset a level.

Just to be extra clear, walking into either puddles OR back into your slime trail prevents your health from decreasing so thanks for your comment!
Yes, but going back and forward from a puddle into your trail tops up your health to full. Is that a bug or a feature?

Hey, as a Slime I'm pretty sure I should have some kind of cheat ability to shoot High level magic! Very nice and cute puzzle game, would have helped my dumb self to have a segmented life bar and some subtle grid indication on the floor tiles to better estimate distances, but that's more on me than on the game XD Good job
What a cute little slime :) I tried to play the game without getting stuck but still got stuck with the wizards hahahaha. Maybe a collider was preventing me on being caught during gameplay. The concept is really great. It is somehow similar to one of the entries with slime and this time with sounds. And a cute slime hahaha. Would be great if that bug is fixed but overall, great job! I'm keen to see more of it :D
A cute little puzzle game about being a cute little slime. The fact that you're able to retrace your steps and recover your HP was very beneficial to me, as it meant that the game forgave some of the dumber mistakes I made trying to find my way out. The puzzle layout gave me a nice challenge, and both kinds of obstacles used together (the puddles and the funky little wizard dudes) kept me on my toes and meant I had to be careful about where I decided to step. The wizards would glitch out sometimes when they grabbed me, though: for instance, in the second level, I would get grabbed by a wizard, but they wouldn't kill me/knock me out. Instead, they would just hold me there forever, meaning that I would have to refresh the page altogether to get free.
I had a good time playing though! Great work!
Thanks for your review. I'm fully aware of the bug involving the wizards but unfortunately, I ran out of time so during the polishing week, it will be fixed hopefully :)
