Hi just beat the game and overall really enjoyed it! I thought the office design and assets worked well with the story setup and also had some fun puzzles to work through. I appreciated how the first 2 puzzle themes built up in difficulty and left me wanting more. Out of the themes though unfortunately the dark maze felt pretty punishing to do as I had to just guess several times rather than being able to see. Also not sure if this was a bug but throughout the maze the breathing was really loud in my ears and didn't go away so would be nice to have less breathing noises if possible, or include a way to disable. Still I liked the goal of working through different puzzles with this main underlying ghost mechanic and would be interested to see what you guys would be able to do with more time and polish!

This was really neat. I liked the vibe. It was chill and creepy at the same time.

Developer

Thanks for playing, glad you liked the vibe we were going for xD

A really interesting concept. I got stuck at one point, unable to interact with one of the lamps, and also one of the switches. I enjoyed the parts of the game I was able to play though. A simpler tutorial puzzle, or more on-screen prompts explaining the mechanics would probably have helped. I loved the UI select sounds in the menu, but it was frustrating not to have a similar sound for going back/closing a window. Some great sounds in the main gameplay portions helped to elevate the aesthetics overall, and set a tone for the game.

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for playing! The game is completable from start to finish, so the lamp and switch issues shouldn't be an issue in theory. We did submit a patched build that fixed a few issues like these. I agree a tutorial would help, we just didn't get time to make one xD

This is a great puzzle with a nice implementation of the theme :) At first I was like, what is happening and what should I do again? but managed to complete some of the levels despite of that hahaha.  I love the visual clues and sound clues about what is happening but it would be better if for example I already interacted with the orb, the particles should be removed/destroyed because it is a bit disorienting on what to do. Aside from that, job well done! :) (Those gnomes are so creepy that I don't know if they will move or not hahahahaha)

Developer

Thanks for playing xD, I was very tempted to have the gnomes react to you or something, but I didn't get the time to add it in xD

Title fully describes the experience after a game jam but this puzzle game is really good! The audio in spirit form is great with all the heavy breathing and kept me engaged. Sadly I couldn't complete it (because I'm dumb haha) but would love to watch gameplay of this. Lots of potential in this game and would like to see more! :)

Developer

Thanks for playing, glad you liked it xD We certainly had some idea's that didn't get into the final cut xD.

Brilliant, and what a metaphor for working in an office ;) I enjoyed the variety of puzzles across the three levels, and could see that there were a lot of really nice details (such as the various shaders and impressive programming) that contributed to the overall fluidity of the game. Most of all I really enjoyed the eerie atmosphere of the game, which I think the sound design and music in particular contributed to. I couldn't help but think of the Stanley Parable due to the setting, even though the genre is very distinct. Maybe some story elements would help glue things together, office mysteries and notes strewn around the place?? I'm curious about the gnomes hahaa!!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, glad you liked it xD, the gnomes are a team joke, referencing our entry from the first jam. Though I'd imagine they'd fit perfectly in the game as is xD Story was one thing we wanted to add a little of, but ran out of time xD

Super imaginative use of the theme. I loved how cohesive the art direction is and the design of the monsters is fantastic. Being able to see the player character through walls is a small yet hugely impactful technical achievement so props to your programmers on that. The sound design also works to sell that slow sluggish feeling and manages to fit the pace of the gameplay.
I think there may be a possible bug with the reset system on the puzzles in the second level as I only had a single reset each puzzle.

Overall, everything flowed together really well and every area of production had a great impact on the game. Huge props to the team!

Thanks for the feedback!
I did the art for the enemies so it warms my heart cockles to hear you liked them.
That bug has been identified, and we will have a new update to post shortly.

Awesome. The pace of it and the game loop all very nice. I like the level design and the sneaky corners you need to find to get your soul to reach. Really solid entry.

Thanks for playing, glad you liked it xD

Indeed the idea is so cool. I didn't manage to complete second level tho, i pushed the yellow box and could not do anything else (or just didn't find a proper way)

Developer

There's a switch to reset the level... we will post an update soon so that the switch resets itself as well.

Looking forward to it!

I love he concept for this game, I think it would be interesting to give the person more to do in there world but I really enjoyed this. I believe this is something that could be really fun with some more time spent on it. Well done.

Developer

Thank you for playing, yea initially there was more of a mix between the two forms. We ended up simplifying it in order to have it all finished in time xD

a Very cool idea guys, leaving your body behind is a novel idea
and the gameplay is funny and very cool and that goes also for the visual and sound art

Great work team
