This is actually super fun! Didn't beat it yet but I hope I do. The game needs a Speed boost or something where if you press shift or space and it gives a little boost so that the character can outrun the bugs because otherwise it is kinda overwhelming.
I've been considering this but I'm not sure it encourages the kind of play that the game is intended for. The point is that you should find the items to make the survival easier, if you could endlessly dodge dance then that would take away from the focus on the theme. However, I do think that a mobility based item would be a good addition for after the jam ends (adding it now would count as more than polish methinks).
JUST ADD MY SPEEDY SPEEDY MAN ;-;
Very nice game with good artwork and sprite design as well as music and sound effects. Could use a dodge roll function to make it easier to escape from near death situations but other than that its coming along pretty well, Good game!
A dodge roll eh?
Thanks for playing, might have a tinker with that idea...
The game is a little fun experience. The objective, however, is not immediately clear, and the game lacks feedbacks to make it truly satisfying to play. I would really like to see a more polished version of the game :D
Luckily, the polished version is coming along nicely! What would make the objective clearer? Would it be a clear instruction to find the escape ship when it arrives? Or is it too difficult to find and needs a UI arrow or similar?
Thanks for playing!
Of course if you say it's not water I have to test it... xD
Quite a fun game, especially with the little enemies being small enough to provide more of a challenge rather than having too big, easy to target enemies.
I think it would be useful to have some sort of a timer, or direction to head towards? As I didn't know when or where to expect the ship, which made me a bit confused.
A timer is on the list of things to add!
Well, I couldn't actually find the ship but it was pretty well put together. The "Game Over!" made me laugh.
Hmm, not the first to not find the ship. Perhaps I need to add an arrow to the UI...
Enjoyed a lot, although hiding behind the drill seemed to be the OP strat. Volume slider seems to not be working.
Yeah I had to turn off the self damage on the drill until I have more time to add a delay to it, next version that shouldn't go so well...
