Well, I tried really hard, but I couldn't get passed the first level. The jump felt way too imprecise, sometimes it wasn't high enough, sometimes it just wouldn't trigger... Even the tutorial was hard. The last part of the level after (when you have to jump vertically several times in a row) was simply impossible for me to pass.

However the idea is good! Using obstacles to bounce feels great! Especially when it allows to gain speed. With some tweaks in the evel-design or the physics, it could feel really great to play! Plus, the minimalist visuals are pretty nice. It's still a very interesting entry!

Thank you for the play and the great feedback! I'm sorry I've made the game so difficult haha, I fully agree with what you've mentioned. And thank you for the compliments! :D

Good idea, and it looked nice, but I was bad at it.

I like the simple aesthetic and the concept of the game. The controls feel a bit slippery at first in that you tend to go too fast or slow with not enough power to correct yourself but after playing for a bit more I got used to it. I'd suggest the health and jump indicators be more centered or even part of the player sprite itself (think of how Madeline's hair in Celeste represents if she has a dash or not) because sometimes it would be hard to track how much health or how many jumps I had left.

Lots to love here. I think the visual style is nice and consistent,  Never distracting from gameplay too much. I think the difficulty is just a bit too high. If the gravity value was tweeked, that might help.

Conceptually, it's very strong! I think you really embraced the theme, and it totally works. I dont need platforms where I'm going XD. I do think that health is a bit redundant. This has a very "Celeste" or "Meatboy"-esque feel, and i'd lean into the one hit Kill option when it comes to level design and mechanics.

Keep making games!

I really like the mechanics! It reminded me of celeste in a good way. Good job!

I loved the idea. A platformer without platforms. You had health so you couldn't really keep using the enemies to avoid falling into the void. But limiting jumps was an amazing way of making things interesting while making sure the player wasn't just jumping all over the place. Each jump needs to be planned before you even get to the area where it's needed.

Thank you for the insightful comment! Sounds like you're enjoying the game and I'm really happy about that :D

Very interesting idea, but really hard. Maybe you should have an easier starting level! But it was fun, and that's what matters. Good job.

Thank you for the comment! I'm glad you found it to be fun :) I made it difficult so the gameplay would last much longer. After playing it myself for hours testing, I can finish it in a dozen tries per level now haha

I like the idea of the game. It is hard, because you have to do everything right, but it gives you checkpoints and quick restarts. I will add that to the list games I want to play when I have time ^^

Thanks for the nice comment! I hope you'll enjoy it!

Pretty interesting concept. The graphics and sound works really well together.

Thank you for the compliment! I made the music myself (though before the jam started). I'm glad to hear you've noticed that detail :)

I really like the concept you have going here. It's creative and clever. My main issue though is that the controls feel floaty and frictionless, so I have trouble making quick maneuvers. Work on this idea though. It might go somewhere

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I made the controls not too impactful so the player would have to use the level objects the best they can, and to make the game more difficult. Thank you for your insight!

Really cool, but also really hard xD

I'll add that to the game info. Thanks for playing and the nice comment!
