Love it. Very polyshed and juicy. I liked specially the reflect power up.

Good work!

Hey, what a nice entry!
Of course I was biased that glowing things (I love glowing things, hahaha), but the concept fitted 100% into the theme.
I only had some issues with mouse not moving sometimes, but not that would make the game smaller.
Very nice entry! =D

5 stars! Awesome game! A stellar presentation combined with entertaining gameplay!  My brother, who is actually the current world record holder for Mushihimesama (a hard bullet hell)really enjoyed this game.  Additionally, it was a smart touch to make the enemies run away from you when you move closer to them.  The only criticism that I can offer is to slow the bullets just a tad ;)

Man these visuals are nice! Super impressive particle effects. The "game feel"/"juice" is really good here. Even though most of the gameplay consists of just moving around, it's super satisfying seeing your enemies destroyed. The bonus effects that happen are really cool too - the shield was definitely my favorite.

Really neat concept! It's fun to play. It's easy to find an effortless strategy (circling around the ennemies and waiting them to shoot themselves), but it certainly can be fixed. Otherwise, it has great visuals, with incredibles feedbacks!

Love the aesthetic! Cool concept and executed well. To improve upon it, I wonder if it may be interesting to extend it by adding more power ups that affect the player's abilities - perhaps making them smaller, granting temporary invincibility, or allowing them to "smash" into the enemies. It may also be interesting to add multiple levels with goal-based progression, instead of just a survival mode.

Overall, really well made! Nice work! :)

Hello, glad you enjoyed Crossfire! Powerups do infact exist in the game! But the ones that you've suggested do sound interesting! As of right now there are 3 powerups in the game: A deflector that lets you deflect bullets, Speed that makes you move faster, and no cooldown which allows you to use your slow-mo powerup for a longer period of time.

Submitted(+1)

Yep, I did realize that powerups already existed, I was just suggesting some others that could help change up the action a bit more. :)

Very nice presentation. Too easy, and minimal on the game play side, but feels pretty good.

Really nice concept and cool graphics as  icing on the top

Very juicy, very nice looking!
Unfortunately, the game has a major design flaw - it can be cheesed by simply going around the map. You should prevent this in you mechanical/conceptual design, very early in the development. Also, you should warn the player that the deflector is about to end, it ending abruptly and making the player bite the bullet could be frustrating I imagine. The slowdown, while nice, serves no purpose when you cheese the game.

Developer(+1)

Yep, I agree, the biggest flaw is that players can run around the sides of the map and still be able to rack up score easily. I still can't find a way to motivate players to move towards enemies although you should note that enemies cannot shoot at you while you're close. As for the part about the powerups ending abruptly, I was aware of that issue, so I fixed it immediately after the jam. I'll release an update once the voting period is over. And yes, slowing down time is useless when you're not dodging bullets.

Pretty polished and has powerups!
Great concept :D

Nice concept and a good representation of the jam's theme. I miss that there are no other types of enemies. I didn't make much use of the slowdown mechanic. At the aesthetic level, the game does pretty well. I loved the music.

_φ( °-°)/ We'll appreciate if you rate our game: Slow Ride.

managed to get it working, everything was fine I was just stupid with the itch app, but I got it. Thanks to the autor of the game for actually asking me what was wrong, making me think it was probably me being stupid. And I'm glad I persisted, super fun and simple and everything is already so very polished. Simple yet elegant. Loved it!

A good game, oozing with juice! I ended up settling into a running in circles strategy that seemed to be quite efficient. It was good that you had to pick up the enemy remains to get points as this made me deviate and die a few times because I got lured in. The powerups were nice, especially the deflector.

Great gamefeel/polish.  Could have used more ramping difficulty/variation. Running in circles seemed kind of obvious/easy. I like the idea and the theme, could have a good mobile game here with tilt controls.

Really like this - the mechanic that prevents them from shooting when you're close wasn't immediately obvious but once I figured that out I had some good runs.

Good job!

We have a winner, folks.  5 stars.

I realy like how the color of the enemies telegraphs their attacks. Very smart design touch.
