I really love this concept, but I found the execution to be not fully there. The actual level rotation was slow (even with the acceleration boost) and was quite jittery. This seems to be another classic issue of FixedUpdate() vs Update() in Unity and where your movement and camera code was placed. The concept was awesome but perhaps a little more technical knowledge could've taken it to the next level :)
really interesting mechanic, and great title :D with some polish could be really good.
Neat idea, nicely executed, good job! Hope you enjoyed the jam! :)
I liked the idea, but I found the movement of the player to be a little unpredictable during rotation - it seemed that perhaps the level was rotating around a fixed point rather than around the player perhaps? Using the boxes make it over the obstacles was quite neat, although I didn't feel I had too much control over their movement.
The Level Rotates around it's center (gameobject), we've been working on the game to fix these bugs (like unpredictable movement when rotating); as of right now; It's still a bit buggy, but we're getting there. Hopefully we can finish it out by the time voting is finished c:
Really neat concept! I really loved the opening art (love the style!), and the mechanic feels like it has a lot of room to grow. The overall gameplay was interesting, but a bit slow and frustrating at times (especially when some of the boxes block your way). Increasing the speed of rotation and perhaps adding other effects, like an area-based "push", might give more options to the player. Nice work overall! :)
The idea was definetly good, but the pacing quite slow, it had slow rotation, it was very zoomed in and the physics were a bit confusing. I think the game could have done better with 8 set angles you could switch between isntead of the full 360 to go trough. With more polish this could easily be a fully fleshed out game.
Really fun game and quite a great idea. Theres a few unpolished stuf, which is understandable given the time limit. Like the players not having eyes in the stages, The player getting stuck on walls (probably something to do with physics material) and the camera shake when rotating the world, which only happens sometimes.
This didn't affect the gameplay much at all. Cool game.
I really like the art style and animation, and the name is super clever. The concept itself is fine and the execution isn't bad, but getting around just feels too clunky and slow. I think if you sped up a lot of the mechanics and streamlined the levels around interesting challenges to get around rather than rotating for every nook and cranny, the fun factor would shoot up exponentially.
Nice concept, kinda reminded me of VVVVV. I also liked the character design.
However the clunkiness and slowness of the rotation are quite annoying and made getting through the levels kinda tedious. Still a nice game, but it would be even better without these two issues.
You did a good job with the visuals and character design, and the concept is neat. I mainly think you should make things rotate faster, and maybe consider ways to make the turning a bit less clunky. But again, a fair entry for a game jam. You should be proud
that was pretty neat! I really liked the character design and concept, but the turning felt kinda slow and tedious, and the levels were pretty big, so i got lost a couple of times. Nice job though!
Hey man nice job! I really digged the character design and the idea! Very memorable :)
OK, I've got to say, I love the cover-art and the design of the red witch. Apart from that, everything felt too slow for its own good, the long instruction screen was too grating, and the levels were kind of tedious. Shorter levels and a zoomed-out camera angle would have serviced this game wonders.
Very interesting - the cover art is misleading though, hahah.
I like the rotating mechanic - thought it might have benefitted from faster rotation since it became a chore otherwise. I know it's hard to get all the physics right with all the rotations in such a short time span - but less jittering would have helped it.
I liked it otherwise, neat idea.

Not bad. I like the premise of rotating the world. I've seen some similar games but this was still interesting. The actual mechanic was pretty rough with the world jittering every time I rotated the world and some very odd physics interactions. I also would have liked another way to use the rotation other than just dodging the blocks and balls. Still, not a bad start.
I'll give you a hint. Boxes and Balls aren't exclusively for dodging c:
Though, thank you for this!!
