Go check out this guy's game. My personal favorite of the jam.

I love the soundtrack XD

Words cannot describe my facial expression figuring out what this game really was. I have never been more disappointed with as much joy in the same instance. I really cannot describe the feelings this invokes. Truly a piece of art.

Hahahahaha "Ok no more ones, we're gonna try some new words" Yeah right :D

Very interesting game, but the gameplay tends to get very dull after playing for a while, which I wanted to do since there are easter eggs.

Typing games are a genre that I didn't think would be represented this jam, and as many interesting additions that make it a fun experience, where you want to see "what's coming next".
This however shows that I was invested in the game enough, so I'll have to set on saying this is a very good game.

Thank you for the feedback. I am glad you liked the game. I added some more varied late game content in my post jam update. You can type in "next level" into the console if you want to skip to the higher levels.

!1 !11 ! !!! 111 11 !
I don't play or even like typing games BUT this was great! I think because it feels like a parody and this makes me love it :)

My initial thought was "this is just a joke entry". But then I played it, and there's escalating difficulty and the humor is spot on. Mixing in '!'s and spaces was pretty clever.

Man this is great. I love how ridiculous and weird it is, yet challenging at some points. I really liked how the soundtrack slowly got more intense and added more instruments to it the later the game progressed. I would say sometimes after submitting a word I would hit enter again by accident and it tended to put me in a bit of an odd state where I couldn't type anything, though that's really my only gripe. Hilarious and well done! Nice work.

This made me laugh a lot - and many levels later is still funny and somewhat addicting.  Please release the soundtrack, I need it!  Also I now feel like some binary computer operator

I saw this game played on twitch, and didn't think it could be this addictive!
I liked how the music gave me some sense of progression, and although it looks like a gimmick on the surface, it is very fun and engaging to play! I finished wave 7 before writing this comment. Well done!

This takes the "Only One" theme to the logical extreme. Although it's not all that interesting as a gag game, it's still very funny.

Developer

Just curious what level did you get to? It gets weirder later. Also, more things are introduced. If you want to quickly catch up to your progress you can enter "next level" into the box.

A Jam Masterpiece! Incredibly original and funny. Diferent gameplay from what we are used to.The arstyle is super funny too.  And just as I was starting to think I already figured all of the game out, it kept evolving and changing every time. Amazing work you did on this one!

Welp... that was... something :D

The weirder it got, the more i liked it. And boy, did this game got weird...

Submitted (1 edit)

Haha well that was unexpected and made me laugh quite a bit :)

Definitively fits the theme thats for sure, also the art is nice ^^ jokes aside with the "1" thing, replace those with actual words and you have yourself a cool touch typing teaching game

Not sure what i can say more on this one so :

11111111Congrats!1111111:)11111:p111111

(edit)

So having played it a bit more holy cow what a surprise, still since i can't touch type it gets really hard on the final wave :o really enjoyed how the music got way more intense as well :)

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks, I am glad you liked it. Just curious... what wave did you play too? Things get weirder at higher waves.

Submitted

I managed to reach the first encounter with the big yellow guy, but i got killed cause i didn't get the right amount of 1's in time :p

Developer

I think you might have missed out on the weird stuff. Type in "next wave" as many times as you want before the aliens spawn to get to where you left off if you want to play a bit more and find out how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Submitted

Ok thanks for the tip i'll check it out then :)

Pretty solid gag. Some of the text boxes weren't displaying all of the ones, so I had to guess how many ones to type. But otherwise, this is good.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. I have never seen this happen in playtesting. Could you post a screenshot? Were you in fullscreen or windowed mode?

Submitted

Windowed. I can't recreate the bug now though >.<
