It's a very calm and relaxing game about 50% of the time.
Great job on the graphics too. Nice and consistent.
As much fun as it is hard. great work!
Reminds me of some simulators with super wierd cotrolls like I am bread or surgeon simulator, except this game is a lot easier to controll :D. I thought that the car was maby too slow? But other than that really good entry with very unique idea that somehow works, good work!
And I also really liked the soundtrack ^
We were thinking if we could make a racing game with cars with only 1 wheel but had no idea how that could work. Apparently this is how you do it :)
Quite fun but would be hard to make a real racing game out of it.
Great idea and visual style.
I felt that you could have made it a little more better wrt how you control the car since I would always overturn.....but it's rather nice none the less. One of those games where mindless fun is all you need to have a good time :)
P.S it's absolutely hilarious when you go out of bounds XD
Cool! This is just pure silly.... Sweet!!! It is a little bit like my game in which two players only control half of a giant each. https://fniss.itch.io/ettin-bffs.
Thanks for playing! Definetly want to try out your game with a friend, it sounds also great! :D
A very fun game to play indeed, I've enjoyed it through! It took me like 3 minutes to make one lap :D Loved the lovely trip-hop-ish soundtrack, the haiku in main menu and overall goofy style - you sir have an amazing sense of humor :)
Yes, we went a bit crazy at the end ;D But yeah, thats what happens when you only work for two day with too little sleep... Great that you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!
Simple, funny and fun game.
Thank you for playing :D
Alright little game, didn't understand what I needed to do at first, but was able to figure it out soon.
Cool! Thanks for playing!
Very fun and surreal game. It took a time, but I managed to addapt to the "steering" and controls felt pretty good after that. However, in the beginning it was pretty hard. As some people already noted, a leveled road at the start would greatly benefit to the beginner.
Thank you for playing and the feedback! Better introducing our players to the controls is definelty a take-away from our players! Thank you!
Overall a good and fun game :) It would be nice if you could make the road at the start completely leveled. Because it's easy to get stuck in the beginning :D
Thank you for playing! Yes, that would probably also make the start of the game easier. Thank you for the suggestion! :D
Really unique and nice idea. I must admit it's hard to steer the car and if you crash into the wall it's sometimes really hard to get away from it, but nonetheless I had a lot of fun while playing, great game!
Great to hear that you had fun playing it! Yeah, how to handle driving straight into walls was one of our hardest design choices during the jam, together with what to do when your car rolls over, and there is definetely room for improvement. Thanks for your feedback!
I loved that game ! I realy liked the feel of trying to turn my piece of junk of a cab around. Like the rest, I had to get used to the controls and it took me a lap to understand how the physics of the cab worked. The controls might not be the most intuitive but I have no idea how to make it better and I got used to it so no big deal. Maybe some kind of tutorial or explication on how the cab reacts given the wheel position. For exemple putting the wheel on the left makes you turn right wich is normal but counter-intuitive at first. I was impressed on how much work you had time to put in just 48H ! Great job !
Great that you enjoyed the game, and thank you for the feedback!
While one of our goals was to make the players figure out the controls and all the wired quirks of the car, a tutorial would most likely be a great addition for a full game. One other thought I had was to make an indicator arrow, in which direction the car will move, that would vanish after some time. This could probably also help when starting the game...
Anyway, thank you for playing our game! :D
This is a great idea. Would love some quality of live improvements - the control is inconsistent, sometimes moving the wheel a lot makes you turn very fast and sometimes it doesn't seem to affect at all. It was difficult for me to translate my movements in the box to the physical wheel when the car was moving towards me. Maybe it would have worked better as a top-down with your mouse directly in the car instead of in a box off to the side?
Thank you for playing our game and your detailed feedback! :D
Improving the controls is absolutely on our list, and thank you for stating your problems with them! And experimenting with different camera angles sounds like a great idea. Definitely something we should do.
Great idea, poor execution. The car is really hard to steer at high speeds (which is, of course, realistic).
Thanks for playing our game and the feedback!
It is definitely hard to steer while at high speed, which is, as you pointed out, logical. While I love that there is no direct control over the speed of the car, probably I should consider implement breaking. :D
Maybe you should have a mouse button for gas (or brake)?
Yeah, i am implementing that as i type this ;D but braking is somehow not working as expected... probably because there is only one wheel xD
