pretty fun to speedrun there

Submitted

Nice ! What really adds complexity is that you lose what you're carrying when picking up something else.

Submitted

Very interesting mechanic, I liked that you made the complexity of the levels gradually climb as you explained the mechanics made it very simple to understand.

Submitted

I was kicking myself so hard at the second last level because I was so primed to go through all the rooms, ahaha. Solid idea and really good work with the level design in teaching the mechanics !

Great idea! Metroidvania in a nutshell! Well thought and well executed. Well, well done! :D

Submitted

Nice idea, some of the puzzles could have been a bit harder but it was fun anyway!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! I'm planning on revisiting the game and design ir more thoroughly once the jam is over

Really cool game! I love the cute art, and the game was really fun! The difficulty ramps up nicely, and the guards were a nice addition. I would have loved to see more features and levels, but I understand that 48 hours isn't a lot :P Overall I really enjoyed this game, well done! :D

I would also appreciate it if you would check out my game for the jam, Sheepherd Dog. Thanks in advance! :)

Submitted

That was fun. I beat all the challenges.
They were a bit easy to complete though. It would be fun to get a post jam version with more challenging levels.

If you have the time, can you rate my game? https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/463297

Thank you! Yes, I'm planning on revisiting the game post-jam.

Fun puzzle game! I actually yelped out loud when the guard got me because I got too cocky. Excited for you to keep building this one out.

Glad you liked it! I'm planning on adding more content once the jam ends. So many more ideas come to mind when I give it more thought

Pretty cool game, nice application of the theme. I've read in your game's description about the lack of time you had to polish the game, so I won't complain about the length (although I really would have liked to see more). I really like the piwel art, reminds of the old Atari games, and artstyle that I personally adore. I thought at first that the level design was a bit lackluster, until I ended up having my first loss because I was too reckless. The difficulty is neither too high nor too low, something that I definitely appreciate in puzzle games (I completely suck at these ^^)

You really should take more time to add more content and upload it somewhere, so that more people can enjoy it too. I really like it, and I would like to see its full potential. NIce job! :)

Thank you! Yes, I'm planning to design more levels and puzzle elements once the jam is over. As you noted I couldn't explore the full range of posibilities

The guards were an excellent extension of your idea. I also like the keys have infinite use until you swap for another one. Good job.

Developer

Thank you! I iterated over those ideas until I came up with interesting rules.

Submitted

A lot of fun and a very interesting concept!

very cool puzzle game! nice style. well done.

Developer

Thank you! Glad you liked it

I really appreciate your level design. First couple of levels, easy and lets you get used to how things work and then it picks up. Really enjoyed it and look forward to more!

Developer

Thank you! I'm planning to revisit the concept and think of more ideas, elements and levels as I couldn't do it for this jam because I ran out of time.

Submitted

I liked it! Loved the stair graph-ic.

Submitted

Love the design, the sprites, the realization and the idea! Great job! Please, it has a lot of potential, add more levels in the future!

Developer

Yes! That's what I'm planning to do once the jam is over.

Submitted

Do you have any plans to develop this further. I think it could make a great full puzzle game.

Developer

Thank you! Yes, I have plans to expand on the idea and add more elements/levels once the jam is over

Submitted

Love the art style! Simple mechanics but made me really think. Would like to see other mechanics and more levels. Overall enjoyable!

Developer

Thank you very much!

Love the presentation, and there's enough game to get stuck in and play around with the mechanics - not a common thing in a jam.

However, there's a bit of an oversight on the second-to-last level; you can get through the whole thing by picking up just two cards.

Developer

Thank you! Yes, you are right, I will correct it when I revisit the game after the jam. Thank you for pointing it out. I'm glad you liked the game!

Submitted

Well designed, now that you have it submitted take the chance to see where it could develop further, id love to see, good work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I will definitely give it more thought. I left so many ideas unexplored because I was running out of time... I will most certainly update it with more levels and/or mechanics.
