Loved your choice in music!
We made a top-down puzzle-action game!
You play as Juan, a jelly who can absorb colored bullets from enemies to gain their properties shoot them back!
The game follows 3 simple rules:
1. Each color has one weakness against another color Blue > Red > Green > Blue
2. If a bullet and character share colors, they negate each other and the character blocks the attack.
3. If a bullet hits a character and the latter has the stronger color, the bullet is reflected.
Bullets also bounce against walls, so be on the look for incoming attacks!
This is the tale of Juan, a once lauded knight who was transformed into a jelly by the evil wizard Severin!
If you think you have the courage & wits to help the Juan and Only Jelly Knight recover his human form, the challenge awaits you.
Don't forget to rate the game here! (You can play the game in your browser, or download a Windows/Mac build).
Reply to this post with your game link and I will also play/rate it!
Thanks for playing!
Great idea. It has potential to become a solid puzzle game.
I think you should consider making the control more easy. WASD move up/left/down/right feels like better to me. And I don't think I need a mouse to aim. The easier control might let player more focus on the "puzzle" you designed.
Nice work!
Here is my game:
Hey, thanks for helping out!
I'll be sure to try out your game as well!
Here it is: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/463156
It's a simple 2d monster fighting game, where you have to search for the lost shoe and defend yourself from monsters by throwing various objects that you can find lying on the ground.
Also, here's some screenshots:
I like it! The music fits really well with the tone. If you want to play a comedy-focused stealth game, here's ours: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/462682. You play as a hat shop owners, but only have one hat, so every night you have to sneak into your customers' houses to steal it back.
Downloading your game right now
My game is called One Shot In The Chamber, a wave based survival game where you must fight off hordes of enemies with the catch being, you have only one bullet. Fortunately, the bullet is magic and you can summon it back to you or teleport to it. Using this unique ability, you must survive as long as possible in the chamber. Here is a screenshot of the game and the link to the game page: https://mark-auman.itch.io/one-shot-in-the-chamber
Really a great work!
Adding the teleport and the callback to the only bullet really solve main design problems of one-bullet shotting games. It force player to do a quick but meaningful decision in a short time. a Clever solution!
And the game looks good and juicy enough.
BTW, the music is so cool! I am not very good at shotting game but I would love to hear the rest of it. I makes me try again and again!
And I come out another idea for this one bullet shotting game. What about a charging bomb instead of teleport? The boom's range is larger when you leave it alone longer. When it comes back to you, BOOOOM! Another risk and return solution, hahahah. I am just saying though^_^
Overall, like this game! One of my favourite for now. It should be in the last 100 games I believe.
Please give it a try: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/461216
Love the black and white look! I tried to go for that too.

Tight game mechanics, satisfying gameplay and lots of juice! (That's what I was going for anyway). Thanks for checking it out :)
Solid litte game!
Like the art style and the juicy effects in it.
I think the enmey should be more aggressive. They are now moving slow and turning extremely slow. I know that might be ensure that the player can pick up the bullet he throw. But low pace is toxic to a top-down shotter I think.
I checked another one-bullet top-down shotter earlier, he add teleport to the bullet to slove this design problem. I think that is a good solution. Maybe you should check this out.

Hey!
Here is "The Only NeOne" a Grid based Maze game where you clear levels by reaching the exit by only pressing and holding your input keys ONCE. Study the enemy's patterns, keep track of your paths you take and figure out how to reach the exit!
You will find the game here: https://dzamani.itch.io/the-only-neone
We would love to hear your feedbacks and will be happy to test / rate your game!
Thanks!
Very simple, nicely clear but full of good meaning question for life (If I don't misinterpret its haha).
I really like the quote from the robot that said to me.
Actually I jump before the right point a lot because of the message lmao. that kinda fun tho.
Nice work!

Awesome game!
I like the well-designed cube. They just like a precious mechine which you need to take time to figure out how it works and plan your next move. Love this idea.
Maybe adding some moving gear or conveyor belts or other which can help player to understand the structure of the cube would make the game even better. (of course, fully understand it's asking too much to a gamejam game. Maybe a arrowhead will do the trick as well for gamejam : ))
Overall, great job!
Besides, glad to know you like my game^_^
Thanks!
Done and done my friend, glad i could help you get ratings!
here is mine, a platformer with one thing to climb and one set of precise mechanics
https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/462355
Didn't make it to the end.
I like the idea that climbing a massive wall and reading other climbers' Epitaph. It delivers the lonely feeling. And making the gameplay and narrative fit to each other.
But the jump itself was too difficult to me, and I have to say the controls feel a bit werid to me. I make platformer sometimes so I do know how difficult tweaking these move are. But for a gamejam game which want to deliver a message, making it less difficult would be better I think.
Overall, I still like this game, nice work.
Besides, thank you for your and your friends' playing and rating. Glad to know you guys like my game^_^
