Oh man the quit button is the bane of my existence lmao. 5 times did I force crash the game, intending to reset. Very very strong concept, gameplay could really really use some polish and juice, but the game holds up without them (not something every game can say!). You took the time to make the core of your game engaging and that really paid off. Well done

This is a clever idea, but I feel the implementation is lacking a lot. There is no indication of where the player will go until you play the level. This isn't so much of a bad idea, but it's important to keep in mind that leaving this in means the game requires a lot of trial-and-error with the puzzles. Whenever the player "loses", all the enemies reset orientation. This can be fine if a failed solution rarely relates to the final solution, but it does not work well with trial-and-error. Changing one of these would make it a lot less frustrating.
I got stuck on the third level. It's not obvious how the enemies line up with each other, making it much harder to figure out which is able to hit which. Maybe adding targeting lines to each enemy would make it easier to understand what options are available tot he player.
The visuals on the whole could probably do with a little more. I can certainly appreciate the minimalism, but it wasn't utilized to make it look visually appealing. Better use of color, and using something other than a solid black background would go a long way.
A pretty fun to play and an original concept! The game definitely needs a lot of polish since the visuals are very lacking, but the game play is definitely there. However, I think it would be better if the player was constantly moving and you had to reajust the turrets in time too since otherwise the game can get boring quickly. Also the player should be able to see the path of the square so that they can plan ahead properly. However, overall a nice little puzzle game and I hope you keep making more games, good job!
Ok, now repeat after me: "Why. A. Quit. Button. On. The. Game. Screen? Send. The. Player. To. The. Main. Menu. Instead..."
Well, the game lacks feedback in general, tutorial is missing and the main mechanic isn't much intuitive and can't tell what the path of the player will be, so planning is out of the window... The game isn't too bad (sadly not enough to call it as a good game), but i like the concept...
It's a decent puzzle idea, though needs some polish.
Stuff about the path of the green dot and resetting the enemies is already mentioned by other reviewers, so I'm gonna add one more suggestion: maybe change how the enemy rotating works as it's a bit fiddly now. I think you could do something like dragging the mouse and aiming the enemy at it (with snapping to the angles, as it is now).
Perhaps you could implement more content in the future, but overall, nice job!
Yea, the idea isn't bad and your placement was spot on. I think you should focus, however, on not making the gameplay TOO trial and error based. It gives the player the feeling that they have no real agency. Still, a good puzzle game.
A neat idea. My main suggestions would be to show the green dot's path before pressing play and to not reset the rotation of the enemies every time the player fails. Those two things would remove some of the tediousness that isn't entirely related to the actual puzzle solving. Overall a decent submission.
Super nice concept here, presentation could use some work, and guess and check isn't really the best way to know the path of the green dot in my opinion. Bet overall, neat concept, fun idea, and great approach to the theme!
I'd also really appreciate feedback for my game (Only if you want to) https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/695512
I liked the concept of controlling where the enemies shoot to help the protagonist. I think difficulty balancing can be a bit of an issue in the game. Liked the simplistic artstyle and the music. Overall it's a good game that just suffers from some minor issues.
Hey, really nice game! just saw your post on reddit and my game also needs rating, id appreciate it if you give it a try!
Very Interesting concept! I liked how I had to think for each level and the challenge for each level. I only wish there was someway to see the path the dot will take besides that, Fun!
I really like the mechanic on this game! It fits the theme really well. The only thing that annoyed me was that there was no actual indication of the path / destination
Fun concept!
I would like the possibility to rotate the turrets in the other direction with right click though.
