Nice game. The presentation is great and the dialog is funny. Well done :)
The art was really cool, i like the concept, and it's amazing you had time for a tutorial. I found it pretty hard to get past the first level, and the game seems pretty unforgiving (like insta-death on enemy contact). but i think with a little more refining this game could turn into something pretty cool.
Really cool idea, was a bit clunky at times but worked out! Great job
Really cool idea, and I liked all the small details you added with the audio and the cutscenes, but there are some things that aren't intuitive, such as touching an enemy killing you instantly, or which characters are attacking who. I really do like the base game though!
The music is really nice, and the audio is quite funny! I had some troubles with the game, eg that it doesn't give you any time to collect the money before you have to pay. It also seems quite hard for beginners to get past the first couple of days. It's clear lots of work went into this, and there's great teamwork; the game feels cohesive, well done!
Thank you for the feedback!
The movement feels a bit off, it's possible to mess up getting the chest, and the dialogue is slow, but otherwise a fun take on tower defence. Keep it up!
This game makes me go YES! Love the art!
good concept! i like the idea about having to dodge enemies in order to gain gold in particular, even tho its a little tricky :) good work!
Real nice look and sounds- also big scope for a weekend!! I love the concept and enjoyed the initial placement of things but yeah, there were a few collision bugs that got annoying when moving the chest (As already mentioned anyway) Overall good game though! Kudos!
Thank you for the feedback! :)
Nice work. Feels a bit too unforgiving at times, like having to pay rent immediately and not having any time to pick up gold on the ground. Were you inspired by Dungeon Keeper or similar games?
The inspiration came from tower defense and dungeon construction games, you're right!
Cool original idea. It's a bit rough around the edges. Would be much easier if minions chased adventurers instead of just standing there, watching. Not sure if it should be like that but trap that costs as much as a minion didn't manage to kill the enemy. Also, on my last playthrough I couldn't afford the rent because I was afraid to pick up gold when enemies were alive and after they died, cutscene started and it was too late.
Great potential. Couple small fixes, some polish and you could turn it into awesome post-jam game! Cheers! :)
Thank you for the feedback! :)
Love the look of this (graphics are very nice and song is catchy). Would prefer more levels with fewer enemies at the start (got overwhelmed a bit too quickly with 5 enemies). Overall though very fun!
Thank you! :)
Such a great concept! But the movement was a big problem. I like the "build-a-dungeon" theme and it looks great. I just got stuck a lot when moving, especially when interacting with the chest. And Gizmo drifts a bit, so trying to grab the money to build a last minute trap always got me killed.
I wonder if maybe a cursor-based interface wouldn't be better. Or maybe giving Gizmo some combat capability so it's worth it to stay in the action. But in the end, maybe this was enough, it just needs a tighter movement system.
Overall, a promising entry. Thanks!
The movement was often a problem during development, so we adapted it a little to the tileset. You could really think about a cursor-based interface, thanks for the tip and the feedback about the game!
A really cool and ambitious game. It could have used some twerking with the movement and tutorial text speed, but overall I enjoyed myself!
Thank your for the feedback! :)
Nice! I feel like the idea of being able to move the enemy's objective around has a lot of potential. I just wish their pathfinding was a little better :p
Pathfinding was the biggest problem during development and caused problems until the end, so unfortunately there was no time to work on it. But thanks for the feedback!
Great game, catchy music and graphisms, but it is quite difficult to understand what to do with the money. Or I am just a bad planner. Either way, good work!
Kinda funny and nice art and music. Though, the pathfinding is really bad. The npc's just move in straight lines, which means they get stuck most of the time. My servants also don't attack enemies, unless they are really close.
Hahaha, I got caught way too easily the first time. I really like the music, and I appreciate the instruction for starting out. The way you weave it into the narrative is great and your character development is quirky and really appealing too! I was a bit confused as to where I can break the walls at first (seems to go against the usual mechanics where you see a big wall, then you think of it as an obstacle), but that's ok, I figured it out.
Thank you for testing and your feedback! I am happy if it was not too difficult!
Nice game. Really like the music and art.
It took a while for me to figure out the wall breaking couldn't happen directly to the chest. I like the planning it takes to save for the rent as well as fighting
Great game, great music, and lots of auditory feedback.
Although hard to want to play, especially with that long intro. The demon simply shouting "PAY YOUR RENT" and then leaving would of sufficed and letting me fail at playing with the mechanics would of engaged me a lot more.
So it has a few issues, but it's definitely a great little game. Would love to play it again with the issues ironed out.
Keep up the good work!
