The idea of the game being finished as you play is unique and quite cool. Although I found the tutorial was slightly long it was still fun.

I love the idea of the developer talking to the player as the game is being made! I felt like there was more waiting around than I would've liked, but the core game is there!

I love the concept of the game creator talking to me like this game is being developed as I play, and the keyboard clacking from all the hacker movies/ tv shows.

I hope you add more levels and twists for a full version of the game. Nice Job!

Creative and interesting and kawaii!

Like everyone else here I also think the tutorial bit was fantastic, very funny and clever. It definitely went on a little long and left you having to sit waiting, but was entertaining regardless. Other than that I love the idea of "screw it, let's just do shoot to move", but it has a twist on it too. Nice job!

If it was just a memory game I guess it's fine. However, your tutorial basically overshadows any possible shortcomings and is probably the most unique thing I've seen in a while XD. It's definitely out of control and left me laughing. I loved it. Just an idea but how about instead of just saying "error", you can show a console screen with a lot of errors. Nice game overall man :)

Thanks for the review! When I started, I was just going to do the whole remove controls thing that happens in the tutorial, and then it just morphed into the memory game that it finished as. If I ever make a post jam version, I'll definitely add more to the error page. I wanted to make it fairly accessible to non-game devs, but that would be one place where as long as ERROR is in big letters at the top, I can stick developer jokes in as much as I want.

That's true, this game is actually very relatable for beginner game devs XD. Good luck to you

GENIUS concept for the tutorial, maybe a biiit on the long side and the jump got enabled a bit too early. Great memory game

Developer

Hey! Thanks for the review! I'm glad you like the tutorial! I discovered the jump thing 30 minutes before the deadline, and it still puzzles me why it does that. There's a few other things that are annoying me, like the low volume, so maybe I'll plunge into my terrible switch statement of death one last time to try to fix a few things, and release a post jam version.

Really neat game, I like the little intro bit even if it goes a little long. Cool concept as well, good work!

I loved the intro bit. You should definitely give notice the game needs sound.
