How does your game fit the theme?
It invokes the feeling of loosing control when you, as a teenager do a lot of odd Jobs. In this case letting a bunch of dogs out. The player has no direct control over the movement, they can only guide the dogs to pull the player in the right direction.

I didn't do that well in the game but I love the concept and would love to play with a controller!

Really cool concept with adorable visuals. The execution of the leash controls could have been a bit finer. Maybe you could assign each leash a key to select it and then have the player scroll the mouse wheel to extend/retract as using the cursor feels pretty unresponsive.

But hey, for the dog bark sound effect alone it's GOTY for me

That was a really good use of the theme. I felt like the leash slider could of been more responsive. Good job overall!

Fun premise, but clunky controls do make it harder to enjoy but cudos for making in 48 hours!

Silly game, in a good way. Love the dog sound effect.

Nice looking game, great take on the idea, the controls are a little clumsy, but for a game jam, it's great.

Also, I love your work on YouTube, would appreciate if you could give any feedback for my game, thanks.

Aww man, these are some naughty dogs! Too much destruction in the end, I felt sorry for the city to clean it up later.

I really enjoy the game, fun take on the theme. I managed to move too fast that I went past the barricade, and couldn't get back out.  One improvement I would make to the game is to have the lease adjustment a bit quicker to speed up the game a bit.

Overall, I really the game, great work!

Fun game! But got stuck against a wall and because one dog was stuck behind the corner I couldnt free it.

Fun idea and concept! :)

Developer(+1)

thanks, you can just go the other way by pulling the dogs in the opposite direction to free the stuck dog, kind of reversing

Submitted(+1)

I tried that, but one at the top got stuck as well xD So I was completely jammed on the right as the dogs had gone round corners

This is a really creative movement system! My one issue with it is the element for adjusting the leashes is just a bit too small. Great submission overall and especially good job with the background beat and creativity!

The damage cost is like a score right? RIGHT? Anyway I hope I get paid enough for walking these 6 dogs to offset the 10k in damage I did. Whooops... Hahaha fun game, loved playing it. Looking forward to watching the make of it soon :)

I can definitely relate from when I'm out walking our 2 dogs lol.

Awesome! I liked the movement and risk/reward system where going faster makes you more likely to damage the world.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I should have added a balance at the end, where your payment from walking the dogs would be subtracted by all the city damage ;)

Loved this concept!!! Great job!

Love the idea, controls are a bit frustrating but great execution! Well made!

Thanks! I should have done some more play testing, but then the time ran out ;)

The controls are part of the chaos hahaha. But it would be nice to see some sort of indicator of the overall force you're applying.

Interesting little game. Even though I think the idea is interesting the way it is made is... slow and clunky. Just the fact, it takes one secound for the dogs to start pulling back (if they even do, because I crashed into a corner and now another dog blocks the path for the dog I trie to pull back) makes it really annoying and a lot less fun to play, the more dogs come into play.

In short: I had no fun playing the game and was really annoyed by the controls way to fast. The theme is met, but sadly not in a good way (what is a shame, because the idea is interesting).

Better luck next time ;)

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that the game could have been much more responsive. Maybe I should have looked for a way the get the same mechanics, but without the clunkiness and less responsiveness of physics based movement. The delay mostly comes from the springs the dogs are connected to, so the dogs kind of have to bounce back instead of actually being directly pulled.

all things to take into the future!
