I really liked it! I though the art and audio really fit the situation. The presentation, while simplistic, allows to instantly recognize the enemies and water. The original idea led to interesting situations where the player has to decide their movement carefully to plan how to get "movement ammo". It's really hard though, I can't beat it.

Good job!

I'm glad you liked it! I do agree that we could have made it a bit easier though, and we realized too late that it is very punishing if you die even once. Once the game jam is over, we will make it a little more forgiving :)

Is cool! Got a bit stuck at the first electric thing before I realised I had to dash, and walking through the level after dying & having to wait to pick up "w" is a bit annoying. Was still fun!

(If you want to check out the game I worked on would be appreciated:)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We tried to mitigate the annoyance a bit by giving a bunch of freebie keys on respawn, but for a future version we'll definitely consider giving more of the commonly used keys (W, shooting with M1)

Cool little game :)

Thank you!

Really interesting idea and good execution.  It's kinda hard to figure out without any tutorial though.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We were hoping the bubbles would help hint the player toward what keys they could use, but teaching about the shooting and dashing could have been done better. We'll keep it in mind for improvements after the review period :)

Cool looking game and idea is interesting. Can't waste those all actions :D. Has some potential.  Check my game as well!

Hey everyone, just going to clarify a bit of a misunderstanding. Andrewoid created all of the 3D models and animations for our game. However, we used open source textures and fonts in addition to the custom-made models. When submitting to the Game Jam, we were only offered 2 options, "we created all of the art" or "we used pre-existing art". We just chose the latter option because we felt it would be dishonest to say we created all of the art since there were some assets that we did not make ourselves. Sorry for any confusion there, but I wanted to bring this up as its own comment for better visibility and ensure that Andrewoid gets credit for the artwork they made.

Nice idea but I kept running out of ammo and not seeing the electric wall in time. Good game though.

For others coming latter you need to use the right mouse button to dash over the electric wall bit, it uses the value M2.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We were running low on time, so we didn't get to thoroughly test out the level, but I'll keep a note of the lack of ammo and make updates after the Jam reviews are finished :)

Really like the idea of literally being "out" of a control type. However either I missed a portion of the game or there isn't much to do, but it's still a novel idea.

One thing I really like was the little tutorial pathway you had for the first time the player moves, but when he dies and respawns you just give them a pack of energy to get them back playing.

Developer

I'm glad you liked our game! Sadly, we were running out of time, so we couldn't make as many levels as we would have liked.

i did'n't understand how to advance through the beginning level and even the utility of M1 or M2. The graphics are pretty but i see that it's not your own creation, a little deceived :/ but kee pthe good work dear.

Bit unfair. 3D assets are hard to make, especially in 48 hours. It would have been nice for some custom assets but as long as they have the permission to use the models then I don't see the issue.

Hey, thanks for playing our game and thanks for the feedback! Just wanted to say all the 3D models were created by me, the only artwork we used that we didn't create were textures and UI elements

The submission only had 2 options for the artwork, either we did all the artwork or we didn't. I didn't want to take credit for the textures, so that's why we put no for that question

ok in that case that is indeed different, i change my rate 馃憤
