See a ranger pick a ranger. I played this for way too long. I will say that it gets tedious waiting for the right roles, but the concept has a lot of potential I feel, and you should definitely explore it more!
Loved it! No enemy could beat my ranger army. The game crashed. It felt like I clicked to roll the dice too soon?
I had a good time with this game - nice job :D
This is a very good game. However, the screen size is pretty small which make reading what the attacks do a little difficult. Also it is very annoying to finish off enemies that are to the side of your team.
I had a great time with it, and the concept works well! The options that the dice give you are random, but you can still play strategically. Right clicking for info on the dice was really helpful in figuring out the game. I found myself recruiting a lot of archers and mages to get through the encounters. The more dice per throw upgrades are nice too
This game makes me go YES!
Great game !
Surprising longetivity
The dice feel so good to throw
The art looks nice and the gameplay and upgrade system quickly feel natural and smooth
Very nice job
I love it. Really great game. Feels very polished both in art and mechanics.
Idea is great and art looks awesome! Nice dungeon crawler ! :)
As someone who plays a lot of boardgames, I really appreciate the element of rolling dice to do actions. It makes the game more interesting whilst simultaneously allowing for there to be strategy. However, because the "handsome squad" sometimes won't listen to you, it renders the random actions unnecessary. But one thing I particularly like was how you could use the right click to "see" what the dice rolls meant. Clever design :) Overall I enjoyed it thoroughly!
Cool game ! Maybe directions with dices don't blend well, but overall this is quite polished and fun
Gameplay is fun and art is great. Upgrades in between the levels were a cool addition!
Very nice! One thing that really puts a damper on the experience is that you can only attack on the Y axis- that makes for about 90% of your rolls to be whiffs. Other than that, the game is excellent, and I'd spend a ton of time playing a post-jam version, I think! (This game is pretty awesome.)
Cheers, good luck!
Thank you! I think I might also make it attack on an X axis. Or even a backwards! This game WILL get an update as soon as the jam will be over
yesss
nice
The dice mechanic is really fun! Moreover, being able to choose a perk in between levels is just the cherry on top. I also really like the main theme. Overall this was great!
That's a really nice game, the graphics are amazing! I'd love to see it become something bigger!
Really neat dice concept. Are the actually 6 sided die being "rolled" or are you drawing from a list of moves? regardless, pretty cool system!
I don't really understand what exactly are you asking. But I can say that the dice is using fake 3d. It's just a rotating sprite that scrolls all dice images on top of it. And it has infinitely many sides... So it's not really a dice... But It looks cool... and it's square... So we called it a dice
Cool! that was what I was wondering. Whether there was "infinite side" or each die was actually an object with 6 discreet sides with equal probability. Not really a question about the gameplay itself but was just curious how you implemented the cool mechanic
I would rate your presentation extremely high. Also, these handsome bois are hilarious
I'm not sure why all of the "playable" characters look like tim lockwood from cloudly with a chance of meatballs, as well as why the "playable" characters don't do the action I gave even with no apparent curses, but other than that this is pretty good.
A better How does your game fit the theme? answer
You always have limited controls. You can't do actions that you want to do every turn. You need to waut for the dice to give you those actions
We didn't know what exactly to say about audio.
We used royalty free audio samples.
But the ost was created entirely during the Jam.
