How does your game fit the theme?
There is a connection between Bub and food: he can't stay too long without it, he can't stay with too much food in belly! Players are connected with bonus in this Doodle Jump's clone: if you eat too much, you'll get fat and fall down; if you do not eat enough, you'll starve and fall down as well.

Its a really fun game and easy to play, the joined together theme isn't really obvious in the game play which is both good and bad i suppose. Definitely feels like it belongs in an arcade hall so nice job

The twist on classic doodle jump mechanics was pretty cool! I didn't understand it at first but got the hang of it after a couple playthroughs and ended up getting a score of 1335.
The connection to the theme felt a little tenuous, but it was still pretty fun to play. Good work!
Thank you very much! I agree about the theme, maybe i could add some features. At first i thinked a 2 player game, but this was my first jam and i had to cut to reach the goal :)
I think this concept would do well as a mobile game. I good would be to add some indicator, in addition to the sprite change, to help you know when you are getting too close to death, being fat, and when it will go back to normal. Like a hunger meter constantly moving up/down or left/right depending on where your hunger level is.
You're right, and a hunger meter is something i want to do. Also better sprite and animations could help, but i had no experience and a GameJam is tricky! In this test you can clearly see that something is going wrong when you are super fat!

Cute and simple, pretty fun! The getting too fat mechanic is kind of confusing because I was expecting food to be good to collect.
