Great work. A very interesting and unique concept. I really got a kick out of your description text and the "depressingly unwinnable" emphasis, that was great flair.

Dig the cover art, very metal.

The art....beautiful! Also fun game and I didn't win :( but still fun :)

A very unique take on the theme! This being your first game really shows future potential.

Very good work on the intro/tutorial, really helps a lot, will try to do that for the next game jam since it really brings you up to speed.

I enjoyed it, well done!

Good job! I enjoyed the music and the spinning mechanic. I also liked how the game visually showed the health of the spinning tree objects. Overall I had a lot of fun playing it and I felt like it connected with the theme "joined together."

It's amazing that you put together an intro in such a short period. Great job! I like the distinct artstyle of this game.

Very nice

I like how several elements are all Joined Together, and the short cutscene at beginning was a nice touch too, especially since this was made in just 48 hrs! Though I would recommend making the player itself vulnerable too since the rotations of the shrubs do not really matter when you can just walk through the fireballs.

Omg the music! So good! It's so sad that this is unwinnable because I really want to win against my impending flame death. Fun game!

I wish I'd at least put a high score screen in.
I got the music off a humble royalty-free music sale, so I definitely suggest keep an eye out for those. It's a great place to get some music for cheap!

Congrats on your first game! Got a score of  ~40 something I think but couldn't see the score after I lost.

Thanks! Yeah, with a little more time, I could've leaned into a persistent high score.
