the paint artstyle is so unique and pretty! the music and sound effects gave me inner peace c: i just sat back for a moment, doing nothing, just looking at the game and listening to the music, one of my favorite presentations so far!<3

as for the gameplay, the idea of having environment to react to your hp was implemented great! the platforming was fun, but it could be a bit more polished (that long fall really needed some indication imo). also it would be really neat to know when regeneration happens. also also, a small thing, but i unconsciously pressed the esc key as soon as i saw it and quit the game (not sure if that's a useful key to teach the player :P)

thanks for making this game, it was a really fun and comforting experience!

That was the most satisfying victory!!! I'm not normally a platformer person, but I loved this to pieces. Movement felt really smooth, though sometimes I'd get stuck on the jump (though tbf, that's probably a skill thing?). I really enjoyed the concept and learning the patterns of the platforms. The art and music were so charming as well.

Thank you ANIVI, glad to hear!

This was outstanding, most original concept I've played all day, making me go against my instincts to get hearts and absolutely loved the art style!

Developer

Haha, yes, the hearts are the bait of sorts =) Thank you!

Really loved the look to this game. The painted world looks very pretty. The gameplay concept was interesting and could definitely be expanded beyond the scope of the jam. Great work!

Developer

Thank you! I felt like level design could use some more work, to expand on the game mechanic, but it's part of the experience, hopefully makes me better for the next games we're going to create.

That's a neat idea! Really mentally hard to avoid the hearts while platforming! It felt like rewiring years of playing Mario and collectables driven tutorial 😂

Not sure if there's enough juice to be squeezed in this mechanic for the central one of a platformer. This goes in my thoughts box 👌

This was sooooo cute! The art and music were both so well made, the hand-drawn painted style fit the game very well. The concept itself was very interesting, and I'd have loved to see it fleshed out more with more mechanics relating to losing health or maybe gaining it too, but for the time allowed in the jam this is already impressive! Good job :)

Developer

Thank you!

Whoa really like the concept of having to damage yourself to continue

Thanks, the intention was that you need to be on the edge of your health to proceed.

That's some amazing art, are all these assets handdrawn/painted in real life?

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it! The level was painted digitally, using Krita (they have a great selection of brushes), and the background was painted in real life, by our art talent on a team.

Really cool! :D I like it ^^
