Nice concept. Took me some time to get into it, but after I figured out the controls and how the chain works, it was pretty neat. I would make the transition between levels a bit smoother. When I collected all these plates, it felt abrupt, that I suddenly couldnt move. Fade out the movement slowy, Pop out the enemies, transform everything to a brighter color. Something like that maybe? Dont be a monster anymore, but become your original form again (maybe an animal or something)

The water shader look really nice.

Thank you for the suggestions! We're glad you enjoyed the experience!

That was fun! Admittedly it took me a little time figure out the controls, but once i did, it was simple as pie and just as delicious, i thought the atmosphere, the colours were really well done! i did maybe need a little tutorial or info page as to what the goal was in the game but otherwise it was great! =)

Thank you!! We definitely hope to add more now that we're past the game jam.

Great vibe! And great to see another 3d entry! :D

I would have liked to get a bit more feedback about when the chains would release and when they would grab you. Would make it easier to plan around.

I also felt like the ghost's turning was a bit hard to predict. Almost felt like a car.

But again, the vibe was really convincing!

Thank you for the feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the ~vibes~ :D

I don't think I understood this one very well, I'm afraid. I was able to manage, but it feels like I should have been able to control which pole I was tethered to? It seemed to change at random.

Developer

It's not totally random! When the chain reactivates, it jumps to the closest pole, even if it's a little out of normal range. Thank you for the feedback!

This was really cute! I liked the vibe a lot! And I really appreciate the ambition of doing a 3d game for this jam! the stained glass was a really nice detail too!

I wish there were more story because the world seemed really interesting!

Developer

Thanks so much! The stained glass was the major time sink for the art side of the game so I am glad you liked it.  We would like to expand and add a story in the future :)

The first not-2D game I've encountered so far, so props for picking the harder option. Aside from a bit of awkward controls, it is fairly tough and fun.

The method to decide what pole you are chained to is a bit confusing. Is it the closest one? If so, why would you pick the poles with the smaller radius?

Anyways, Nice Job!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! Yes, the game will select the closest pole. The idea behind having smaller side poles was so when the player is released and goes over there to get a pick-up, they would want to hurry back before they get stuck over there -- or they would want to stay over there to try to hide from the enemies (they spawn in a radius from the center so if you are by an edge, there should be less enemies).
