This game is really quite a unique platformer! I have played a vast number of platformers in this jam, and yours is one of the most interesting and fun to play! I enjoyed welding and flying through the game! Nicely done!

This is a neat mechanic! There's probably lots of ways it could be expanded upon, cool game

This is super original! Loved it! Might need a tutorial because it took a minute to work out what weld did but once I worked it out, man it was satisfying! Please make more levels after the jam!

Also check out my game if you can!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Ofc I'll check out your game, I always play and rate everybody who comments on my submissions :)

Great game, solid submission, I liked everything, the art, the music, SFX and gameplay. Look further into making more levels after the jam! Congrats!

Fun game. Cool concept. I would have liked to have seen some more levels.

Pretty good and clever mechanic very well adapted to the them. I think you didn't reach its full potential, but maybe if you continue developing it, it will get better and better!

I love the welding mechanics, it's truly unique! I think the joining aspect of the welder and the character is not big enough as the theme of the game, but I think the welding is pretty fun, opening up many different possibilities to solve the puzzle. I think the circle is falling pretty fast though, so it's hard to actually "catch" it, I have to hover near the place I want to weld, hoping that something would stick there. It's also a dangerous hazard too, with it's round size that roll everywhere and kills me the moment it touches me, falling or not. I think this idea is neat, and would love to see it expands more.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah this was way jankier than I wanted it to be

This is a really clever idea and a great take on the theme! Tons of potential for this mechanic in all sorts of puzzle and platforming challenges! Presentation was solid as well. Nice job!

Developer

thank you :)

Welding an excessively chain of barrels was fun in it's own way. I could definitely see the scope of this game stretched out more with things such as unweldable barrels that you have to block with something you welded together and even just tighter platforming in general.

Developer

Speaking of scope, I really wanted explosive barrels that would be set off by the welder but ran out of time. If I ever go back to this idea that'll be one of the things I add along with your idea of un weldable barrels

Interesting idea with lots of potential options for solving the puzzles! Definitely gives that "I solved it my way" feel

Developer

thank you for playing!

The "rope" or "pipe" connecting the backpack and the welder has a nice arc. The mechanics are also very interesting: a building platformer with fixed object sources.

I couldn't see the whole map

Zoom in in your browser and you can.

interesting, and the wielding concept (sticking the barrels together to make bridges) was very unique

I'm not the dev? (Maybe replying was a mistake)

Not a mistake at all, thank you for helping them figure it out
