The art is gorgeous, I like the mechanic, but the controls were just janky as hell for me. (I kept clipping through walls xD)
That's an absolute Gem! Short and sweet. The music, the mechanic as well as the puzzle-like solution is what made this game, in my opinion, super addictive. It took me two try in order to complete it, but to be honest, I was able to cheat my way out of a bad decision by jumping on the platform even though they weren't activated. I would be more than delighted to play additional levels in the future, with different stages of difficulty. Also, a great addition to the game could be to enable a free camera-mode in order to understand what's coming up. That said, It's a wonderful beginning!
Cheers!!
J'adore l'ambiance du jeu! J'aime beaucoup le concept avec beaucoup plus de temps cela pourrait vraiment donner un bon jeu. Toutefois, j'ai dû recommencer le jeu plusieurs fois car mes membres restaient bloqués.
Mais good job gang!
What I love about your game is the music and the art style. The start screen was so atmospheric. I literally spent 2 minutes just on the start screen admiring the art and the music. It hit my feels somewhere. The idea was also very unique and cool. However, the execution itself could've been done better. The movement controls felt a little bit stiff and the objective of the game wasn't communicated to me. I wandered around here and here, unable to get anywhere. I was unsure whether the game had levels or whether it was an exploration game. Maybe a map would've helped in this case. Furthermore, I once dropped my legs somewhere and it couldn't be retrieved back. It just fell into some void of sorts. In such scenarios, a simple restart button would've been enormously helpful rather than me having to shut the game down by pressing Alt+F4 and re-opening it.
That being said, please do not think that I am trying to prove that your game is bad. That is not my objective. I just want to give you an honest opinion from the perspective of a player so that you can hopefully gain insights into the psychology of a player who picks up the game for the first time and hopefully use this knowledge to make your games in the future more fun for the player.
Have a good day sir/madam :)
Thank a lot for the feedback, we are really apreciating it . We miss the oportunity to polish the game, that explain a lot of the problems you point I think. With a few hours of testing the map would have been more condensed are easier to figure. Have a good day.
Thank you so much for the feedback :O . We will incorporate your comments for our next game jam !
Cool idea! Reminds me of my game ;) I wanted to do something like this, with a robot that builds itself and then breaks itself down for different situations. I didn't get it all done for the jam though.
The physics of your entry are kind of funky. The robot parts got split up and then stuck in different parts of the world. Sorry to say I gave up after that. The idea is def a good one though.
The hand drawn art is also very nice. Good job!
Sadly the jumping puzzles are hampered a lot by the legs feeling very uncontrollable. If I press right the keep on wakling for a couple seconds, making accurate control impossible. I really dig the artstyle and idea though!
Thank you so much fo the feedback!! Unfortunately, its one of the major things we don't have time to fixed.
Robot games are fun! Great concept and execution. Well done!
